A Mural

Aiden, Pictures, Venting
And not the good kind.  Let a three year old have a crayon, and what do you have?  At least it's cute...  He's finally hit the trying to write letters stage.  I can't find my last magic eraser, it must have been tossed...  Add that to the shopping list. SOOC After some tweeking for visability. AND AHHHHH!  My photo program crashed, this is NOT what I need right now!  Whaaaa!  I have my photo's backed up, but have put in 50+ hours on them since...  I'm so glad I have a geek for a husband, lets see if I can get it under control before I have to call him, I think I can...  Sigh. ETA: OK, everything's fine.  Ugh.

No Fireworks

Family Fun
For some reason there were none.  Oh well... Despite my grouchiness yesterday Kevin convinced me to go with the family to Moody Gardens.  I got a lot of photo's but right now I'm working on someone elses pictures that I have a deadline for... AND today I've been a sleeping slug.  SO TIRED...  I don't know why.  I'll hopefully start posting again and have some new pictures by mid week.

More Regarding Melting Minds

Humor, Me, Michael
So, this afternoon we went out and I got Michael and Aiden an ice cream sandwich, Michael gulped his half down (seriously gulped, I don't know how he could have even tasted it), and drank some ice water.  He said "My brain won't melt now cause I have brain freeze!" I think this "melting brain" thing has sunk in too deep... And then when we got home and I asked him to get Kevin the scissors to open something up.  He went looking and came back empty handed saying "Oh!  My brains is just melted!  I don't remember where the silver drawer is!"  I said, "No, the silverWARE drawer, like forks and spoons and stuff, next to the sink."  I could just see the light turn on as he turned…

Re: Print Rich Environment

Humor, Kevin, Michael
So lastnight Kevin came in, he hadn't read the blog, and we hadn't talked to him about it.  I was busy putting away groceries and taking care of the baby, so I didn't think twice about it.  All of a sudden Kevin starts spouting all of these random weird words...  I'm like "What?  Are you OK?"   I guess the words took him by surprise.  Hahahaha!  Michael was quick to comment "They're so my brain doesn't melt!"

A Print Rich Enviornment

Aiden, Family Fun, Humor, Michael
I'm working on a new project, I'm writing in large print on some cards I have and taping them around the house, to get Aiden interested in words and keep Michael reading. I think I'll change them up to keep their brains noticing. So far I have "Baby," "Joseph," "Door," "Food," "Chair," "TV," "Aiden," "Michael," "Potty," "Sink," "Food," "Water," "Cups," "Plates," "Phone," "Shoes," "Snack," "Trash," "Wash," "Bath," "Bed," "Toys," "Mom," and "Dad." What else?  I need more 3 and 4 letter household items. I walked around with the boys this morning having Michael try to read stuff then letting them take turns taping them up.  I was amazed how many Michael had already forgotten... When Michael asked me why I was doing this, I said "So your brain doesn't melt…

You’re Welcome!

Aiden, Family Fun, Humor, Me, Michael
We obviously have some wires crossed... A few minutes ago Aiden asked ever so nicely for some candy.  The boys have been behaving rather well today, so I went for my secret stash and got some Smarties. I gave each boy a roll of Smarties, and got one out for myself while I played around on the computer. About halfway through mine I started hearing this weird beeping, so I got up to troubleshoot, a minute later I noticed that one of the boys had put something on Kevin's keyboard and it was making that "error" noise, that was it. I then look to my left to watch Aiden somehow scatter my smarties about.  Snickering inside, trying to look sad, I said, "But those were my smarties!  I wanted those!" …
