Here’s the Frame!
Please keep voting! I love the feedback! The photo is just under three feet by three feet. Don't mind the old picture, it was VERY faded, and I'll probably end up mounting the newly printed photo straight to it. Here's a corner for detail, it's a pretty hefty frame, it's about 3 1/2 inches wide. And some letters I got to put our name somewhere. I got this at the dollar store, too cute huh? The boys got to work painting the "STEELE" and "Country" while I was painting the frame. I'm so excited about this frame, it should really ground whichever room it winds up in. I LOVE thrift store finds!
Hard Decisions…
So, I'm trying to figure out which one... This will be for my living room, family room, or my dining room. It will be big. Vote for up to three. Unlike my usual 1 month polls this one will be over soon. The frame is square, and may be Caribbean Blue, or Turquoise, or Sunburst Yellow, or all three... OR not... Currently it's just Caribbean Blue. One more thing. I hate red, and orange can be too close. I know orange is REALLY big this year, but I think it's a trend, and I prefer to stay away from "trendy," but I love the tulip pic. Orange is not a color I'd go seeking to put in my home, but it just may be the unexpected twist that finishes a…
Ok, I’m SO slow!
I have got the pics done and on facebook and flickr. Oregon Trip on Flickr and things have just been fun and busy! I'm still working on journaling the whole trip, but I think I'll just print it up and stick it in my journal instead of making you read a 5 page blog about it, LOL! The frickr comments sum most of it up. Life since the trip has been fun. Class things, and school's almost out stuff... Memorial day fun and a little tummy bug... Everyone's very restless for Summer. One week from yesterday Kevin is eligable to be hired, we're really hoping that works out, so please keep him in your prayers. I'm sure I'll have more pics soon.
I’m Back!
I'm back from a fabulous trip to Portland and the Oregon Coast with my honey celibrating our 8 year Anniversary, which is tomorrow, his 30th Birthday, Mothers Day, and my 27th Birthday, and heck, while we're flying a thousand miles away lets throw in Father Day. We had SO much fun, and I took a LOT of pictures. More soon! First I gotta catch some Zzzzz's and then catch up with my buddies the boys. :)
Just Switching Back…
In the name of spring and being tired of all things plain, I'm switching back, still not loving it but have yet to find something else that doesn't shrink my photo's more than necessary, without having to start from scratch... The tulip pic header still is not mine, maybe I'll find something soon to switch it up with and be happeir with it.
Happy Birthday to Three Wonderful Young Men!
Today is Michael, Kevin and his dad Mark's birthday!!! They are 95 accumulative years! I'm sure I'll post more later about them, but just want to shout out my love to them today! I have one of the most wonderful father-in-laws you could ask for. Mark is a wonderful example and such a loving caring man. He's always helpful, always listening, and I don't think I've ever heard him speak to or of anyone in frustration. I'm so glad to have him as a father in law, and glad to have him in my family. I know my husband is a better man because of being raised by such a caring gentle father, as I see echo's of Mark in Kevin and the way that he cares for the world…
