Just trying to catch up…

Today I was a trying desperately to catch up with several things I've been letting sag lately. For some reason I feel more behind than ever. So is life sometimes, I guess. Tonight for our annual Relief Society Birthday party we had our wards usual service auction. I LOVE this activity. Everyone donates a service or two, and then you bid on it with your points that you count up with things that you've done lately, i.e. visiting teaching, smiling at strangers, doing something kind and unexpected, writing kind notes, you get the picture... I donated a couple things that I had on hand and my talents with photography and photo editing, and I won a cake (don't know what kind yet), a lunch or dinner with a sister, and…

We Went to IKEA Today

Warning: VERY long post. If you wish, just scroll through the pics. :D Yeah, it's a favorite spot. We walked up just as they pulled breakfast off the bar, so we got lunch. Then I dropped Mike off at Smaland. No sooner had I dropped him off and walked upstairs and just started getting going did they page me back... Ugh! Kevin and I gave each other one of those glances, all parents know those glances, and I headed back to get him irritated that in less than 10 minutes he'd managed to get me paged back. Potty, new wrap, and I need to drive…

I'm so excited it's Friday! I need a Friday... It's bone chilling and windy here right now, it's almost too much. It's supposed to warm up a little over the weekend, I hope so... Aiden went potty at the store yesterday! That's a first. We had to go, and I asked him in passing if he'd like to go too, when he said "yes," I was surprised but hurried and helped him. He made it! We're so proud of him. He finally got his first undies, yay! Mommy's just not brave enough to let him wear them yet. Relaxed Sunday

We made it to church yesterday! Yay! Though we were a lot late... That was frustrating. We didn't get the laundry into the dryer until around 7:30 (church starts at 9, we'd washed it the night before but forgot to get it in the dryer, and some of our essentials were in there), and then since it was mostly towels it took extra long to dry and we didn't realize this until we went to get everyone dressed at 8:40... We wait till the last possible moment to get the boys dressed so the chance that they dirty their clothes is as slim as possible. It's a 15 minute drive to church, maybe 20... Oh well. Lastnight while I arranged my flowers, Kevin painted some figures and the boys played at the table doing homework and coloring. Joey got fussy so Kevin went to get him. Kevin had him balanced on his lap in a uncomfortable looking way, so I went and got the Snugli for them to use. It was the first time in this carrier for Joey and I think he really liked it. Well other than this photo, hahaha. Maybe he was worried Daddy was going to paint him. And here's the photo's of my flowers arranged. Family Saturday

I added a pic back on last Sundays blog of the boys as we headed out the door to church. Click here for the link to that Blog. Today we went to IKEA as a family. We just went for breakfast and to get out as a family. We got breakfast and for some reason it was buy one get one free (I believe Valentines and President's Day weekend), so we got breakfast and drinks for all 4 of us (who eat solids), plus a roll and muffin to share for about $9! Hahaha! Can't beat that very often anymore.
