Potty, new wrap, and I need to drive…

I’m so excited it’s Friday! I need a Friday… It’s bone chilling and windy here right now, it’s almost too much. It’s supposed to warm up a little over the weekend, I hope so…

Aiden went potty at the store yesterday! That’s a first. We had to go, and I asked him in passing if he’d like to go too, when he said “yes,” I was surprised but hurried and helped him. He made it! We’re so proud of him. He finally got his first undies, yay! Mommy’s just not brave enough to let him wear them yet. He’s better, still grouchy, but I think that’s more from cabin fever than feeling under the weather.

In the last few days, as I was trying to get several things done, and Joey was crying I wished that I had a good carrier in the house, I keep the ring sling in the car so I have it when we’re out and it’s the most important for me to have my hands to be able to keep Aiden safe. If I could, I’d spend every minute cuddled up with Joey, touch and feeling loved is so important to little ones, but as a Mom to others that’s just not humanly possible to hold him every minute. I did some research and decided to get a Moby Wrap style carrier, there are a few different kinds, but I didn’t want to wait for shipping and after looking at Target and not finding anything natural feeling enough for me I decided to go ahead and make one. So I went and got fabric this morning, so we’re hopefully going to be able to get that out this afternoon and try it out. I think Joey will enjoy it. I’ll let you know what I think.

Yesterday right after I picked up Michael from school he proclaimed “I just need to learn to drive! You need to teach me.” Don’t I get 10 years to prepare for that? I decided to humor him, “Where am I supposed to do that?” “In the car!” was the reply from the back seat. Funny boy!
