Baby Doctor Appointments

How could I forget to document them??? Friday afternoon we took Aiden and Joey for their regular appointments. Let's see, Joey is 26 inches, and over 17 pounds. 50% in both height and weight, which is kinda small for our boys at this stage, but I'm pretty sure it has something to do with him needing more solids than he's getting, so I'm trying to amp that up. We got the OK for all foods accept Honey (which is a "no brainer" in the 21st century). He's healthy all around. He got 6 shots, three in each thigh, so that night and Saturday morning were pretty rough, but he's back to normal now. A Big First Today

One I wanted to wait about a year for. Joey had his first solid today, or tasted it anyways... Aiden gave him a fruit snack when he was crying and I was too slow getting to him... Joey thought it was nasty! LOL! Poor baby! Joey is 3 1/2 months old, I haven't even started cereal, and won't until he hits 7 months. I'm delaying solids as long as possible to avoid allergy risks especially considering he and his brothers history. He's fine, just got a little sticky...

Diaper Changes

Well Joey is doing OK. The coloring of his poop is finally evening out, and just every few is slightly green anymore. I started eating Chocolate again and I'm now pretty positive that's not a part of the problem, but I have cut out all nuts and that is definitely helping. Just a few more days and it'll be completely out of our systems and we'll see if there's something else we need to cut out. He moved up a diaper size in the last couple days, he's now in size 1-2 in Huggies. He's gone through two cases of size one, plus the two small hospital packs and a left over medium bag that I got when Aiden was a baby that he never started. The 1-2 size is…

First off, I finally updated my "about us" section (top right) so you can go there to get a bit of history on us. So I guess that makes 7 entries during this three day weekend, LOL! I promise I won't keep going at this rate, nobody would ever keep up. If only I'd enjoyed writing like this in school, oh well, at least it'll do me some good when I'm in college in a few years. Not just Chocolate…

Joey's allergies are getting worse, not better... He's been super fussy and hard to calm, and his poop is getting darker again. I'm cutting out nuts too to try and see if that has anything to do with the allergies. I just wish I knew how to make him feel better.

Good news, bad news, and a word blunder.

Good news first, it looks like the chocolate was the culprit, so Joey is looking better and things seem to be headed back to normal (whatever that is with a rapidly growing infant). Gross, but his poop is getting back to the right color, and his diaper rash is all but a distant memory. Bad news, I don't get to have chocolate for a while. Better to have him healthy than sick though. Today I went to pick up a prescription from the pharmacy, I occasionally call them a "script." We went in after I picked up Michael from school, and ran to the store to get my prescription, I dropped off my prescription and we went about browsing the valentines clearance (which was all chocolate, which I'm not getting…

Happy Valentines Day!

OK, I already had this typed up once this morning and then lost it when I didn't "publish" right, so forgive me if this seems a bit abrupt or scattered. I'm just trying to get it out before I rush off to take care of a dozen other things. Joey is one month old today! Happy Birthday little Man! It's going so fast!
