I added a pic back on last Sundays blog of the boys as we headed out the door to church. Click here for the link to that Blog.
Today we went to IKEA as a family. We just went for breakfast and to get out as a family.
We got breakfast and for some reason it was buy one get one free (I believe Valentines and President’s Day weekend), so we got breakfast and drinks for all 4 of us (who eat solids), plus a roll and muffin to share for about $9! Hahaha! Can’t beat that very often anymore. The breakfast was two or three (I don’t remember) long slices of bacon, 4 french toast sticks with syrup, a large scoop of scrambled eggs, and a large scoop of hashed brown cubes, so a pretty decent breakfast for $1.99. I think they’re objective in such a cheap breakfast is to get you in early so that you shop more and spend more, LOL! The breakfast didn’t used to have the french toast sticks, but had a dish a lot like dutch oven potatoes instead of the hash brown cubes, I’m kinda sad that they changed the menu, it was pretty good.
Anyways we got the food and Joey wasn’t very thrilled at being in the stroller bassinet (see pic below) so I was glad that I brought the sling, and I wore him for the duration of the trip, we really enjoyed it, it’s the first time he’d been worn for more than a few minutes as I walk, so I’m glad it went so well. Aiden seem to really enjoy the new stroller, so at least that’s good. I’m sure Joey will like it too soon. We walked around the store and headed out of there. For once we didn’t buy anything!
We dropped off Daddy at his modeling class, and headed home. After almost two hours he called and was done, so we picked him up and headed out again for more shopping. Fry’s Electronic Super Store, fun! and Joey was calm and happy in his stroller bassinet the whole time, I commented that he was being so happy, and Kevin said it was because of being in his geeky element, hahaha! Possibly very true. Daddy needed something to upgrade his school computer so he got that, and it should help him out. I took the camera out, but didn’t bother with any pictures, it was fun though. Michael finally got to try out Guitar Hero. Watching him try to play convinced me even more that I don’t want it yet. Some games just get on my nerves.
Kevin has Monday off for Presidents Day, but Michael doesn’t, so it’s just another day in a lot of ways. So far this is a nice weekend, and hope it just gets better…
My views of my 4 men in the car.
Michael took a picture of Joey in the car so that we could see his face.
Downtown Houston from the west 6-10 loop. Looking due North.
The exit from 6-10 to the Katy Freeway heading west. Looking North West.
View of IKEA as we got off the Freeway. Due West, as you can tell, no mountains here, the biggest hills are freeway overpasses.
Joey’s opinion about being in the Bassinet at IKEA.
Snuggled up in the Maya Wrap, as Mom drinks some juice, I was trying so hard not to get syrup on his head, hahaha, Luckily I didn’t drip.
Mom and Bubbs. (don’t you just love humidity and curly hair???)
Aiden loving the stroller, and hamming it up for Mom.
