Hard Decisions…

So, I’m trying to figure out which one…  This will be for my living room, family room, or my dining room.  It will be big.  Vote for up to three.  Unlike my usual 1 month polls this one will be over soon.

The frame is square, and may be Caribbean Blue, or Turquoise, or Sunburst Yellow, or all three…  OR not…  Currently it’s just Caribbean Blue.

One more thing.  I hate red, and orange can be too close.  I know orange is REALLY big this year, but I think it’s a trend, and I prefer to stay away from “trendy,” but I love the tulip pic.  Orange is not a color I’d go seeking to put in my home, but it just may be the unexpected twist that finishes a room.

Oh, and I removed the dust spot on “I” that may have been bugging people.

  • Oh wow, I can’t decide. Honestly…they are all SO good! you’re amazing Kaylene! But I think I like the flowers in first two shots only because I’m in a colorful sort of ‘summer’ mood. 🙂

For me, it’s A, without a doubt. I think it’s the variation in color that I like, plus I like the composition and size of the subject. The beach pictures are beautiful, but too “far back” for me (and zooming in would cut too much off), and the forest pictures are beautiful but too busy for me. My eye can’t find a place to begin. The other flowers are beautiful, but I like the fact that there are multiple floewrs, and the variety of color in A the most.

  • I vote for A. I love bright colorful pictures. But, it also depends on what other colors are in the room, whichever room you decide to put it in. All of them are fabulous though! 🙂

The purple flower (B) with a yellow frame would like great. You show a good eye for composition in these photographs. I enjoyed looking at them.

I didn’t choose a because the subject (flower in focus) was a little small compared to the rest of the picture. The colors are beautiful on ‘A’ but it doesn’t seem “tied together.”

C is very pretty and would look great in a black or purple frame. It is a bold shade of yellow but other than that it doesn’t have a lot to look at. It is fun to see every once in a while but maybe not enough going on to see it every day.

E is a great shade of green. I would go great in a Black or Red frame but I always get made fun of when I put green and red together (Christmas stole those complimentary colors!!!). This would be my second choice for a picture hanging on the wall. It has plenty to look at. It may be nice to have a location like that up on the wall to remind you of that beautiful place. By the way that would be a great location for a writer to add to a book about a kingdom of fairies… I like the contrast of dark green to light from the bottom left corner to the top right. Adding in the white water keeps your eye moving around the composition.

F is very nice. There is a nice mix of grays greens and browns. There are multiple layers Fore, Mid, Mid-Back and Background. I like how the photograph demonstrates some atmospheric perspective creating a mid-tone gray in the top with the mist partially obscuring the bridge Mid-Background and showing that it is somewhat blended with the rest of the background. The dark gray and white of the bridge are echoed in the bark of the trees.

B, E and F are my favorites out of the bunch.

I think you should do a few of them! Maybe a set of 3? I like H, D, & C together. . . all flower themed with same magnification. I think they would look gorgeous together side by side. I also like D,E,F together. Maybe with black frames? It might be pretty bold, But I think it would be gorgeous! These are so pretty! you are inspiring me to find something to hang in my livingroom! Do you have any shots that would match my marroon and gold room???? Pretty please?? Oh- and if you only want to hang one, I would pick either A or B– gorgeous!

D or H are my vote for a large picture in the middle of a room

I love the ocean views and the trees, especially with the shadows on the lake!

    All are great photos!

Oh gosh I didn’t know you were in that part of Oregon! I LOVE
Cannon Beach and Astoria and all of those little towns up there. I would personally choose Hug Point but that could be just because I am completely biased and wish I could live at hug point. 🙂
