Another IKEA Saturday.

Daddy Smiling as we're finally out on our way.  Mom was super slow getting ready to go, and so we left about 3 hours later than he would have liked. We went to a fun little BBQ place and enjoyed a quiet lunch. We got to IKEA and dropped Michael off at Smalland, and headed on our way enjoying the whole showroom floor at a snails pace. A pretty dish set with lots of colorful creamy Bokeh. A head board I like a lot, thought I think Kevin has had his share of iron beds and our next one will be wooden, or if it's the right fabric, upholstered. We timed it just right to be done with the top floor just as it was time to pick up Michael.   …

Photography Stuff

My favorite lens died. :(  I'm so sad.  I don't know if it's cheaper to have it fixed or replaced, and if I get it fixed, who says it'll stay fixed.  It's the auto focus mechanism that's out, and maybe those parts are like transmissions, and once they're gone they tend to be a money pit until you replace the whole thing...  So I'm looking for a new lens. But, playing around I got these two and edited one of Joey's to sorta match. What'aya think?  Should I get them printed?

Finally, Lake Texana Pictures

I've finally gone through them and got them ready!  Yay!  I had them ready since Thursday (so if you've seen these on facebook, sorry for the repeat), but was waiting on Kevin to have some free time he was willing to donate to my cause since I keep forgetting how to publish photo's by myself, maybe I should have Kevin write me a tutorial, LOL! It’s always fun When Grandpa Comes,

When Grandpa comes, hooray! Grandpa spent lots of time with the boys and read them several books.  I think they really enjoyed having him here. Hahaha, looking back over these photo's, I think either I've just resigned to the chaos, or my memory tricks me into thinking things were more calm than they were... Grandpa reading to Mike and Joe. Hi Mommy!!! The closest I got to a group picture of all the boys and their grandpa together. Well, one of the closest... At least Joey was listening. Well, and Aiden, but only on his terms. And Michael decided to read on his own. Thanks Grandma and Grandpa for the new books!!!!

Grandpa’s Here!!!

Kevin's Dad is here on business, and we're so glad to see him!  We went out to dinner with him lastnight and that was pretty fun.  He's coming over to our home tonight and then heading home after a few days on the road hopping about the country. Michael's currently waiting by his window with the curtain drawn.  I asked him what he was doing and he said he's "waiting for Grandpa." :)  I think the boys are loving seeing him for a little bit. I Was Nuzzled by a Deer

We're back from our first real camping trip with children.  It was REALLY fun!  We're so glad we went, and look forwards to many more mini trips.  The boys did amazingly well. Yes, that's right, we went camping on purpose, in the middle of July, in the South...   ...and survived.  It actually felt wonderful. We went to Lake Texana in Edna, Texas. Friday night we headed down and got there just at sunset, we rushed to set up camp in the setting sun and I took the boys around the camp site in an attempt to set up firm boundaries.  Kevin had to make a store run because between us we'd somehow forgotten to get cash to pay for our spot.  Kevin took Aiden, and Michael, Joey and I stayed…

OK, I don't think of my self as all that trendy or cutting edge.  I'm a geeks wife, but I'm not pushing any boundaries, I'm just taking this information or technology highway at my own pace.  After all I didn't start my own real blog until just this last December.  By then most bloggers I knew had been doing it for quite some time... Moody Gardens

As I previously mentioned, last Saturday we went to Moody Gardens in Galveston Texas. On the way back to the car I ran a race with Michael... He was telling Aiden, who was sitting in the front of the double stroller, that he was gonna beat him, I couldn't have any of that, so off I flew, hahaha! So I manged to get my fully loaded double stroller (and I don't mean super nice, just loaded down with peeps and stuff), myself and my saggy pants to the end of the grass (about 50 yards) before Michael, LOL! No Fireworks

For some reason there were none.  Oh well... Despite my grouchiness yesterday Kevin convinced me to go with the family to Moody Gardens.  I got a lot of photo's but right now I'm working on someone elses pictures that I have a deadline for...
