Another IKEA Saturday.

Daddy Smiling as we're finally out on our way. Mom was super slow getting ready to go, and so we left about 3 hours later than he would have liked. We went to a fun little BBQ place and enjoyed a quiet lunch. We got to IKEA and dropped Michael off at Smalland, and headed on our way enjoying the whole showroom floor at a snails pace. A pretty dish set with lots of colorful creamy Bokeh. A head board I like a lot, thought I think Kevin has had his share of iron beds and our next one will be wooden, or if it's the right fabric, upholstered. Photography Stuff

My favorite lens died. :( I'm so sad. I don't know if it's cheaper to have it fixed or replaced, and if I get it fixed, who says it'll stay fixed. It's the auto focus mechanism that's out, and maybe those parts are like transmissions, and once they're gone they tend to be a money pit until you replace the whole thing... So I'm looking for a new lens. But, playing around I got these two and edited one of Joey's to sorta match. What'aya think? Should I get them printed?

Finally, Lake Texana Pictures

I've finally gone through them and got them ready! Yay! I had them ready since Thursday (so if you've seen these on facebook, sorry for the repeat), but was waiting on Kevin to have some free time he was willing to donate to my cause since I keep forgetting how to publish photo's by myself, maybe I should have Kevin write me a tutorial, LOL! It’s always fun When Grandpa Comes,

When Grandpa comes, hooray! Grandpa spent lots of time with the boys and read them several books. I think they really enjoyed having him here. Hahaha, looking back over these photo's, I think either I've just resigned to the chaos, or my memory tricks me into thinking things were more calm than they were... Grandpa reading to Mike and Joe. Hi Mommy!!! The closest I got to a group picture of all the boys and their grandpa together. Well, one of the closest... At least Joey was listening. Well, and Aiden, but only on his terms. And Michael decided to read on his own. Thanks Grandma and Grandpa for the new books!!!!

I Was Nuzzled by a Deer

We're back from our first real camping trip with children. It was REALLY fun! We're so glad we went, and look forwards to many more mini trips. The boys did amazingly well. Yes, that's right, we went camping on purpose, in the middle of July, in the South... ...and survived. It actually felt wonderful. We went to Lake Texana in Edna, Texas. Friday night we headed down and got there just at sunset, we rushed to set up camp in the setting sun and I took the boys around the camp site in an attempt to set up firm boundaries. Kevin had to make a store run because between us we'd somehow forgotten to get cash to pay for our spot. Kevin took Aiden, and Michael, Joey and I stayed…

Seeing ORANGE!

So... Joey had his first carrots Tuesday, the night before last, and it was also the first time he's eaten a whole jar in one sitting. So yeah... Anyone's who's ever started a baby on solids will know what I mean, everyone else, enjoy your oblivion. LOL! He's doing really well and loves it when I put him in his high chair. This morning the big boys and I had waffles, and I fed Joey bananas. I set down his spoon on the front edge of the tray and helped Aiden cut up his waffle. I turned back and the spoon was gone! Moody Gardens

As I previously mentioned, last Saturday we went to Moody Gardens in Galveston Texas. On the way back to the car I ran a race with Michael... He was telling Aiden, who was sitting in the front of the double stroller, that he was gonna beat him, I couldn't have any of that, so off I flew, hahaha! So I manged to get my fully loaded double stroller (and I don't mean super nice, just loaded down with peeps and stuff), myself and my saggy pants to the end of the grass (about 50 yards) before Michael, LOL! And not the good kind. Let a three year old have a crayon, and what do you have? At least it's cute... He's finally hit the trying to write letters stage. I can't find my last magic eraser, it must have been tossed... Add that to the shopping list. SOOC After some tweeking for visability. AND AHHHHH! My photo program crashed, this is NOT what I need right now! Whaaaa! I have my photo's backed up, but have put in 50+ hours on them since... I'm so glad I have a geek for a husband, lets see if I can get it under control before I have to call him, I think I can... Sigh. ETA: OK, everything's fine. Ugh.

A Print Rich Enviornment

I'm working on a new project, I'm writing in large print on some cards I have and taping them around the house, to get Aiden interested in words and keep Michael reading. I think I'll change them up to keep their brains noticing. So far I have "Baby," "Joseph," "Door," "Food," "Chair," "TV," "Aiden," "Michael," "Potty," "Sink," "Food," "Water," "Cups," "Plates," "Phone," "Shoes," "Snack," "Trash," "Wash," "Bath," "Bed," "Toys," "Mom," and "Dad." What else? I need more 3 and 4 letter household items. I walked around with the boys this morning having Michael try to read stuff then letting them take turns taping them up. We obviously have some wires crossed... A few minutes ago Aiden asked ever so nicely for some candy. The boys have been behaving rather well today, so I went for my secret stash and got some Smarties. I gave each boy a roll of Smarties, and got one out for myself while I played around on the computer. About halfway through mine I started hearing this weird beeping, so I got up to troubleshoot, a minute later I noticed that one of the boys had put something on Kevin's keyboard and it was making that "error" noise, that was it. I then look to my left to watch Aiden somehow scatter my smarties about. Snickering inside, trying to look sad, I said, "But those were my smarties! I wanted those!" …
