🙁 He started slowing down yesterday, about a half hour before I went to get Michael, he passed out with his blankets in his room. I told him as I noticed him trying to huddle in that he’d better not go to sleep because it was almost time to go get Michael. He went to sleep anyways, which usually means mega tantrums when I get him up to go. 🙁 I got Joey ready, then got Aiden changed, his shoes and jacket on, and tucked him back in. I took Joey out to the car, then came back to carry Aiden to the car.
He barely woke up and we just brought the blanket with us (BTW, the special blanket, “Blank,” got lost a few weeks ago when I accidentally tossed it behind the dryer, it hasn’t been mentioned yet, so I’m leaving it there until I get a chance to try and retrieve it), he slept through the whole pick-up, stopping back at home to pick up a snack for Michael and my wrap, and all the way to the store.
I should have known something was up by now. I put him and Joey in their stroller and went on our way. We went to the game store, then shoe shopping, realized I wanted to buy their Easter outfits before getting their Easter shoes, I stopped at Sally’s Beauty Supply, then the salon and got a hair cut, which Joey cried through, 🙁 he was perfectly fine until they made the first cut, so I thought we’d be OK, it was heartbreaking. Then we went to Childrens & Bridal Etc. (an awesome dress clothes shop) and got their Easter outfits. I found three matching outfits in each of their sizes!!!! Yowsa! This is the last year I get to make them all matchy match though, Michael strongly protested, so next year it’s all over. I gotta get all three in the same thing at least once though, haha. 🙂 I’ll have to take lots of pictures to remember it. Then I went to walk down and look for something new for me, but I realized it was almost time to pick up Kevin, called him half thinking he’d tell me he needed some time to work on something, but he didn’t so we turned around and got Michael and Aiden matching dress sandals (not gonna bother for Joey, he doesn’t need shoes yet), and headed up to get Kev.
When we got home he just lazed around as I spent some time on the computer and the boys played Wii. You can see him hauling and cuddling up with his Pooh Bear blanket, from Grandma Steele, behind me in my pics of my haircut. He felt hot but not quite feverish. I made dinner and set him up for it even though he seemed pretty tired already. He then threw up, and at this point was sporting a fever. Kevin cleaned him up and got him into bed. Thankfully he took oral Tylenol (he usually refuses oral meds) I brought a diaper and PJ’s and we got him down, and within a couple hours when Kevin checked on him he felt normal again.
Today he’s feeling normal, but laying around quite a bit. Kevin took Michael in and we’ll see how he’s doing at lunch time and if I can have Kevin bring me the car then so he doesn’t have to worry about picking up Mike. Poor baby.
poor little guy. I know how he feels. (see my blog for more details, not much more, but more)
