Taken on my last trip to Temple Square
8 of us went tonight to the Draper open house and toured the Temple, what a great experience, and how fun to share that with Michael. The tickets say 8 and up, but we saw many babies a lot younger than Michael there. He did rather well, and loved to share the time with his Grandma Karen, and it was wonderful to involve him in a “grown-up” activity, as well as a relief to not have to worry about the younger kids.
I took my camera even though there’s a request for no photography in the Temple, I decided to take it for outside, if the chance presented itself, but it didn’t and sweet Kevin carried my heavy gear bag like a champ while I hauled Michael’s coat, mine and my purse.
I was amazed at the artwork put into that building, probably even more than all the fine fabric on the furniture (there are many upholstered chairs and couches in the many rooms and hallways), or the beautiful lights, walls papered with the finest of wallpaper, windows and carpets beautifully hand crafted, and many many more elegantly designed features. I encourage everyone to go see it that has a chance.
