OK, so Joey’s been walking a while, but there was really no definitive, ‘he’s not walking one day, he was the next,’ time frame. He started taking small steps around October, but was VERY unsure of himself and lost his balance easily, which always sent him flopping to the floor. He still doens’t walk very far, but is finally choosing it over crawling, cause he can hold onto something that he’d have to leave behind when crawling, LOL! He’s now just starting to run to his destination when he looses balance rather than dropping down and crawling. It’s SO cute! I LOVE this boy! Baby walking is one of the cutest things ever! He’d prefer not to be guided, but to just find his way on his own, or be carried, that may have something to do with the 20 arms anxious to sweep him up though…
When I was taking these photos, I looked over them to make sure things were turning our alright (yes, I chimped, LOL!) and he crouched down over my camera, cause he wanted to see himself! He’s getting this camera thing! LOL! Yes, I’m officially crazy to let that sippy anywhere near my camera, and Whoops about it upside down in the living room!
On the sippy subject, anyone have any good transitional milk or formula suggestions? He’s still nursing a LOT more than I’d like, I’d rather not give him juice (when we do it’s more than half water), but he has a terrible time with congestion when we’ve tried whole cows milk.
cute pictures! umm good luck with the milk thing my abby still has a hard time drinking milk unless it’s chocolate.
Cute cute cute!
Would formula help for a transition?
I think I’m going to go with an advanced formula, possibly soy based because of the family history of milk allergies (and he has peanut and egg sensitivities), but I’m not sure what’s out there…
I wasn’t able to nurse, so Tayge has always been on formula, but our pedi told us a good transition formula to move him from traditional formula to cow milk was Enfamil Next Step. Tayge loves it and has been making the transition well!
Cute pictures! Congrats. What a big guy!
Oh my goodness he is SO cute. And what a great photog you are. I read on Liz’s blog that she’s hired you for the birthday party pics for Tayge. How fun! I keep forgetting that you are in the same state as her now.
