Crazy Days

This may be as long as I’ve gone without blogging since starting this… I don’t know if anyone even reads it anymore…

Quick update of the things going on cause I’ve got to go in a minute.

We’ve got an offer in on a house. The floor plan’s very similar to my In-Law’s place. The property has a few mature fruit trees, and it looks like a good school and neighborhood. Unlike the rest of the houses we’ve seen it’s 100% finished up and down, and won’t need a lot of $$ or time to get it/keep it livable. Yay! It’s got a lot of red paint, and I don’t like red, but otherwise is a beautiful home where I’d really love to be for the foreseeable future. We’re told we should hear back on it by next Wednesday… A few more days, we can handle that…

School started, and things are going smoothly with that so far. Michael said the first day was “great, no excellent!” and things have just gone up from there in his perspective. To say life’s been chaotic, would be an understatement… My transmission went out with just over 200 miles left on the warranty, Kevin’s been working 50 hour work weeks, he’s also been neck deep in his thesis, so I’m a college widow most days. My Mom’s the Compassionate Service Director in our ward, and there have been a few big things going on with that for a few weeks now, and now they’re on their way back from a trip to Nauvoo, so I’ve been “running” the house this past week, it’s not nearly as clean as when they left, but there are 8 other people here…. And I’ve been the only chauffeur, so a lot of packing up kids and driving people around when I have no place to go. So life’s been crazy, but good. The kids are wound up and I want a break, but life’s good…

Joey got his first “real” shoes. He’s worn leather booties all his life and just got some sneakers. He LOVES them. He keeps walking around staring at his feet, and loves to hear the clonk clonk of these heavy hard shoes.

That’s all I can think of right this moment. Hope all our loved ones are happy and healthy!
