We still haven’t heard back on offer #1 as we’ll affectionately call that house now. It was 4 weeks lastnight since we made that offer and we were told it would be a couple weeks…
So my Realtor and I went out yesterday to find some more prospective homes. What Kevin and I didn’t understand is you can make more than one offer, so we saw about 6-7 houses yesterday, and I came home with 4 houses that I would put an offer on and two that I fell in love with. After looking into it one of those four is not right for us, and that leaves three, one of witch I’d go CRAZY over and love to pieces we hope to write up an offer on that one tonight. Tonight we’re taking Kevin to see those houses, and this morning I found 6 more houses I’d be seriously interested in. Don’t know if we’ll be able to stop by any of those tonight or not. Some of these houses are still in West Valley, much to my amazement I’ve found a few good schools out there, so it’s possible.
So keep hoping for us! Maybe we’ll find our perfect niche.
How frustrating! I’ve heard that is kind of how it goes with short sales. I have a friend that waited months to close on a short sale house- it ended up not going through for some dumb reason. So it might be a good thing to keep your eyes open.
I hope you find something soon that you really like!! It’s always nice to have a place to call home (which is really yours) If, you know what i mean.
Good luck!! 🙂
I live in West Valley and LOVE it. What areas are you looking at? I’ve lived here my entire life and know all the areas. 🙂
I wanna see pics of the houses you like!
I’m not going to post pictures, cause I don’t want anyone to snatch them. 😉 I’ll post some of my favorites after we close, and definitely a tour of the house we buy! Amy, I looked at about 13 houses the first day of hunting, and then came home to research my favorites to find out that all the elementary schools had a 1/10 or 2/10 rating on testing scores! :0 So I started over, looking more south and closer to Kevin’s work. We put an offer on a house, and I’m OK with that school, though not thrilled about it, we really do like that house though. Yesterday I went to several houses, and some were on the boarder between West Valley and SLC, I thought the schools were OK. I looked more into the schools and am finding more I’m interested in.
Sorry about your housing woes…..our first offer got rejected and picked up by someone with credit problems….go figure.
