Life is absolutly CRAZY!

The last week has been hard, and good in different ways.

My parents celebrated their 28th anniversary last Friday.  Happy Anniversary guys!  For their anniversary they decided to take off and go visit my Mom’s sister Marlene in Wyoming, they also visited Jackson Hole and the Tetons.

While they were gone a nasty cold caught up with me.  I was pretty miserable for a few days.

Once they got back I started to feel like a person again, and then Sunday night Kevin said his belly felt weird.  “Doesn’t hurt, just feels weird.”  Next thing we knew he spent the night throwing up, and was severely dehydrated by morning.  He called in sick and I debated on taking him to urgent care or trying to get him into the doctor.  I called the doctor and it turned out they had an appointment open in a half hour!  He was out of it, and in no position to make any decisions about his care.  I got him in and they sent us on to the hospital for an IV, and since he’d not been in for a good evaluation in almost two years he decided to have him get a blood draw and a CT scan while we were in the hospital.  We got his tests done and him rehydrate, and fully drugged, and I got him home.  All the while Kevin was pretty much in another world, it was a different experience for me telling them all of Kevin’s medical history like he wasn’t there.  This is not something I care to make a regular experience.

I spent yesterday fighting with his doctors office to get a anti-nausea medicine prescription to the pharmacy so that we could stop the throwing up.  I hate Crohns.  Finally at the end of the work day and the very last minute before I took off for more house hunting we got that sorted out, and the prescription called in.  Yay!  Glad to be able to post he’s doing a lot better now!

Lastnight we saw 4 houses.  I almost said homes, but I wouldn’t classify the first two as homes.  They were just houses…  My FIL Mark, Mom Karen, Kevin and I toured with my wonderful agent.  If you ever want an excellent agent let me know I’d be glad to recommend her!  She helped my parents buy this home 11 years ago.

At the end of the night we decided to put out two more offers.  Still haven’t heard anything definitive on the first two.  These newest two are also short sale (all 4 offers we have out are), so there’s still no guarantee that we’ll ever hear about them, let alone be able to get in before the rebate deadline, so we’re still heavy on the trail…

The boys are good. Cracking me up and making me fall in love with them all over again every day.

Joey has a new found love for all things that go, but especially construction vehicles.  Bobcats, backhoes, dump trucks, you name it.  He see’s any of these, screams as he points at them then stares with a very concerned look on his face, I’m pretty sure he’s just trying to decide how they work.

Aiden recently went with me to the Distribution Center, a store in the LDS church where we get church related things.  It’s on temple grounds, so as we walked in I reminded Aiden that this is a store, but it’s also like church and I would like him to be reverent while we’re in there.  He folded his arms and was all ready, until we saw some ladies walking out laughing and talking loudly, Aiden didn’t miss a beat, and told them “Shhhh!  Be reverent!”  Which stiffed their laughter, and they said “Oh, right!”  LOVE that kid!

Michael is a bike riding pro.  Earlier today he thought his bike had been stolen, we had a Schwinn get stolen a few months ago, and a neighbor caught another neighbor trying to ride off with another the same week, but we couldn’t get any evidence he’d also stolen the first bike and never found out what happened.  So Michael looked all through the garage, and around the house, and I even sent him looking around the nearby neighborhood where he’d been riding lately to look.  He was starting to get really concerned so I walked around to help him look, and what do you know, when he’d propped it against the garage door Grandpa had parked it behind the big garbage bin.  glad that worked out.  He’s getting to be a really good reader and even tackles words like palaeontologist, before asking for help.

I think that’s enough for one night, sorry I made it a novel.
