Hahaha! I got up this morning and all the skittles closest to the fridge door had been plucked off… Uh, thanks Aiden… So much for some good light pictures this morning as opposed to last nights artificial overhead fluorescents.
We’re all sick this morning. I’ve been coming down with a cold for days, sinus issues, soar throat, cough… Yesterday I lost my voice. Yuck. We went to the Zoo. Don’t go to the Zoo if you can’t holler after your kids or even voice level talk…
So the plan as of lastnight was me stay home from church, Joey stay home since he’s been grouchy and has rattly lungs, and Aiden stay home since he was getting a bit raspy at bed time. This morning Kevin woke up with sins pain and a tickle in his throat… So I guess Michael and Kevin are staying home too… Ugh.
I may have to make a run to the store to get Joey something to sit up in. Right now it’s just the swing and our arms, I don’t think he’s ready enough for the walker yet… How soon do babies grow out of the bumbo? Isn’t it like next week for Joey??? I seriously don’t want to waste my money, but I’m sure that it’d be cheaper than a hospital stay with RSV or pneumonia…
It’s spring, we’re not supposed to be sick anymore!!! We’ve actually been really lucky that this is the worst it’s been since Joey got here…
Can he use his swing? What about a bouncy chair?
He can use his swing, but is getting tired of it… I went ahead and got him a bouncy chair (I tossed the one I had for the other boys cause some parts got lost in between Aiden and Joey) it has a vibrating feature so that should help him shake loose some of the junk.
sweet!
I didn’t get a bumbo, I think they say when he’s sitting up fine on his own, then he’s done with it. I just waited until the 4 month mark, and bought my son a jumperoo. He had great head control and loved to stand, so I thought it was a wise idea. It kinda made him regress though, instead of standing tall and strong, he likes to swing and bounce as though he’s in the jumperoo. But he loves it and was definitely ready for it!
Hope you guys get feeling better!
Yeah, I looked at the Bumbo, ad I’m glad I went with the rocker seat. The best part is I don’t have to get after Aiden when he takes a seat, LOL!
Here it is, it was cheaper at Target…

It is good that you didn’t get the bumbo, I have heard that it actually takes kids longer to learn to sit up on there own when they are in the bumbo because they don’t have to use their muscles to support themselves so the muscle developement takes longer.
