Peggy, I’ve been thinking it’d be great to get one of all three asleep, but I just don’t see how it’d work. A few days ago Michael and Aiden miraculously both took a nap on the couch, but Joey was wide awake, I was wishing he’d doze off so I could snap some pictures. Hehe.
Kaylene, what do you do for lighting? I keep trying to get good pics of my kids, but the light throws me off. You have to have the blinds just right, a certain distance from the big front window, facing the right way, …… and then a cloud covers the sun! Help me get a good picture! BTW, you can put me on your blog list, I just haven’t had a chance to tell you! If you have a chance, please email me a few quick pointers. I need help!
Michelle, well for these ones, you gotta have a fancy camera with an external flash and defuser and be able to edit the photo to make the black dark enough. He was just on the black futon at night and I bounced my flash off the ceiling…
For ones like the boys, with Michael kissing Joey, it’s pure luck. Lots of natural light and turning off the flash. It’s been a lot of trail and error. It’s actually pretty good as long as you have enough light when it’s cloudy becuase it acts like a big softbox defusing the light. It’s actually better when you have lots of snow because it reflects in and makes for good indoor shots.
If you can adjust your camera to have a faster shutter speed go with that. It’s really a hard balance to find when you can’t control manual exposure.
