iPod, and me singing.

I got an iPod. For a reason I may cover later, I got my birthday present very late this year. I picked up a Green 1 Gig iPod Shuffle. I’ve been enjoying Gilbert and Sullivan’s Pirates of Penzance (I played Ruth in High School) The Holiday soundtrack, listening th church magazines (did you know you can get MP3’s on lds.org of all sorts of stuff, magazines through scriptures? I have a link at the right) and all sorts of other fun stuff.

Michael said earlier “Mom, you got a really good voice.” which totally surprised me. I feel like I’ve totally lost my voice, my pitch is terrible, the quality leaves a LOT to be desired in many ways. Many who’ve met me in the last 7 years or so wouldn’t know I used to love to sing, I was in choirs for most of middle school and high school, I have more than 3 years of private vocal training, and was quite a diva once. When I sing now I don’t like what I hear at all, so I don’t do it. I know that’s kinda silly, since a voice is deffinitly one of those things that when you don’t use it you loose it…

I guess I need to sing again.
