This morning we went to the flea market. It was a disappointing endeavor. The market has died down since the last time we went. Last time we went it was almost the whole building almost every other booth had someone there. Plenty of food vendors. Today, not so much.
I found some adorable curly ribbon bows for a steal of a deal and was busily picking some out for my nieces before I remembered that their mother despises them, well, maybe that’s a strong word, but I have heard her say that she thinks big bows in baby’s hair look like giant Christmas poinsettia’s glued onto babies heads, so yeah, LOL! They would have never made it onto their heads. Love to our Afton. 🙂
We did meet one enchanting lady who forked over trinket after trinket for the boys, they really enjoyed that, we found a bottle of the scent I wore on our wedding day that they stopped making. I got it at the same booth. I found a make-up roll from Mary-Kay which I’ve been coveting for oh, about 7 years, but it’s been off the market since I could afford it… So that was a sweet find. Oh, and we found a chocolate cupcake candle that smells just like chocolate cake straight from the oven.
The boys didn’t do too well this trip… LOL! They didn’t get a thing (other than what the one lady gave them) accept fliers for the upcoming back-to-school “trick or treat” where there are going to be give aways of school supplies, and some kids will get back-packs. BUT it’s on a Sunday, so we won’t be going.
I haven’t been to the flea market it years and years…maybe sometime we can plan a trip together without the kids and do some serious shopping…have you ever been out to Harwin Street?
No, I haven’t been there, and that sound really fun! I just kept feeling like I was dragging along 4 people where they didn’t care to be…
I’ll take pretty bows! I love them…and Natalie puts up with them.
