I’m feeling frustrated.

With my photography.  I took a wedding in early June, worked my heart out on it and don’t even really feel like I did that well on it.  Other than that, and snapping my family, I haven’t done any real photography since little more than halfway through my pregnancy with Joey.  I don’t know what’s wrong with me.  And of course my wanderings keep bumping me into wonderful inspiring photographers, and I feel so little and insignificant.

Of course I’ve spent some time getting used to my new camera and had a few flubs there at the beginning, and that shot my confidence, so I need to just get out there again.

I need a few pick me-up sessions, anyone willing to have pity on me?

  • I won’t give you any pity, but I will give you a big hug and an encouraging word…you are a great photographer, who is doing something VERY important…raising three men! They may be babies to boys right now, but you are growing and nurturing future men and dads…that’s ALOT of work 24/7. The photography will come when it’s time, I promise!

Plus, we couldn’t have a pity party anyways, because I don’t have any chocolate!

  • You NEED Chocolate! LOL!

Let me re-phrase that, anyone want let me go out with you and snap a million pictures??? PLEASE?!?!?! 🙂 My family is in so much trouble when we visit next month. I’ve already got a few unsuspected photo shoots thought through. 😉 that includes YOU Suzanne!

  • You live to gosh darn far away…otherwise I’d talk you in to coming over and sharpening your skills on my Katie-pie. We all have ups and downs. Just realize it’s a temporary rut and find something to get you jump started, like a seminar to learn some awesome new trick. Hang in there!

You’re nuts! You are a fabulous photographer!! If we lived closer I would totally love for you to take pictures of us. You shouldn’t feel insignificant when you see these other photography sites. Just take the good ideas you see and incorporate them into your own style. You really do take great pictures!

  • You are an awesome photographer! Keep it up!

I just got that book that you told me about “Understanding Exposure” It is such a good book- and so easy for the non-technical people, like me! Thanks for the recommendation!

Just thought I would let you know too- that I added you to my blog list- just so you didn’t think “what the heck!” I hope you don’t mind….

    Take care!

  • Let me know when you will be here. I also am trying to search your blog to see some more of your photos. I am doing some journal quilts built around the theme of Nature and want to see if you have anything I could purchase for a possible pattern

  • Do you want to take some pictures of a cute little 5 month old when you come visit in September/October? I know a mommy that would love to hang out with you for a couple of hours! We should do a girls day out . . . Your mom, Aunt Peggy, Shelly, Afton, Afton’s girls, Sara, my mom, Torie, and I . . . and of course Joey and Tayge! Can’t wait to see you! We miss your family so much! Love to all!
