Adorable Stray Cats Need a Home

They have a home!  Someone’s coming to get them!

OK, these are some of the adorable cats that hang around my neighborhood, they can’t stay long because well, we’re in apartments and it’s not the safest environment for them and I think there are legal issues…

So these little guys are free to anyone willing to catch them, take them to the vet, and care for them.

This is a Mama, probably not more than a year old, and her final kitten left from what we believe is her first litter, born earlier this summer, 6-8 weeks old.  I don’t know where the other two kittens are, hopefully people were able to take them in rather than having them found by predators or hit by cars.  The girls downstairs have been feeding and watering them, but they can’t continue to care for them much longer.

They are sweet cats, keep to themselves and treat me and the boys with sweet curiosity, I’ve never been glared at by them which is more than I can say for most cats I’ve been around in the last decade (hehemm, Caly).  These are not run of the mill alley cats.  They are small too, really, I worry that the other stray cats around will hurt them.  When my neighbor realized that Mama was pregnant she wondered it if was worms instead.  I believe she showed up around 6 months ago and looked to be very young.

The girls have said that they’re going to take them to a no kill shelter soon, but it would be easier on them if someone found them and adopted them first.  Obviously I can’t, being that we already have to many bodies in my home and are not ready to take on the responsibility of a pet.

So here are my pictures of them.

These next two deserve some funny captions, but I’m not witty enough.  They remind me of the catzz point of view stuff all over the web (“I’m Playzin’ with your Mouz” with a cat messing with a computer mouse), told you I wasn’t witty enough…  So kudos to anyone who can think of something, I’d love to hear/read it.  Maybe I should have a contest…

Oh, and if you come get them, I’ll gladly give you the images I have of them.

Hey, my sister beka wants the kitty with blue eyes, but you’d have to find a kennal to bring it to utah, but those are great pictures you took. I love the ones where the momma is licking the baby. so sweet!!!

Kaylene! Your name engraving – how did you do that!? I love it! I agree with Beka; I love the one with blue eyes! And the one looks like it’s ready to pounce on a butterfly! You could name it “Pouncer”; ‘course naming a cat turns into raising a cat…
