So, in case that didn’t make any sense, I had 5 teeth majority worked on here. Two root canals, and a tooth pulled on Wednesday with a bone graft for a future implant. On Thursday I went back for two more root canals, but once they’d cleared the decay, we realized there wasn’t enough left the save the teeth. So those two were pulled as well and I got bone grafts there too. So yeah. I’m in less pain now than before, but still plenty of pain.
So, on Tuesday we flew in. We got in at noon and ran to temple square and to get some supplies for my family. By 4 we picked up Nate. That was wonderful! Everyone was filled with joy and excitement to all be together! After we got him, we headed to the nursing home Grandpa is staying in while his hip heals. So Joey met several new family members within those first hours here on his first trip to Utah.
Saturday we finally got some Steele time, and went to the park with Grandma, Grandpa, Sam, Sara, Dallin, and Shelly. Afterwards we headed back to their place and spent some quality time with them. I wish we could all do this a couple times a MONTH!!!
Yesterday we had Nathan’s mission report in church, and then we had a family lunch back here… Too neat! It was so fun to hear Nate speak in church, even though Joey made it nearly impossible.
We had several of Nate’s friends here, Grandpa and Grandma Rawlings, Aunt Analee (She’s in the Mormon Tabernacle Choir and got Nate conference tickets for next week. 😉 ) Julie and Adam, David and Tamra, Stacey and Dustin, Jeremy and Andrea, Toni and Camille, and their boys. Mike and Kristi, Emily and Heri, Jake, Annie, Tayzia, Roger and Mindy and their crew, Laurel and Scot and theirs, Paul and Jeni and theirs.
And we were blessed to have Mark, Shelly and Dallin, my in-laws stop by, as well as a couple other ward members. It was a lot of people and really neat to see so many. I don’t see a lot of my family very much.
I’ve taken a LOT of pictures… I believe I’m now above 1,000 images, before family portraits… Oh boy! Hahaha! It’s all fun though. When we come up I usually leave the camera in the bag, and miss a lot of snaps, but I’ve got the bug this time, LOL!
We took family portraits tonight, and I think we did pretty well! I just wish we had more time here! Oh well, I’m sure by the time it’s time to come home, we’ll all be very ready for it!

I am so sorry we missed Sunday, but we just couldn’t do more traveling right now. I am glad that things were a success and that Nate is home safely! Hopefully I will get to see you sometime before your and my kids are all grown up!
I know you are being pulled in a million directions. We can’t make it Saturday night, but what are your plans for Sunday after General Conference? We were thinking we could make up a dessert and head that direction . . . if Uncle Mark and Aunt Peggy wouldn’t mind us hanging out at their house we would love to see everyone. Give me a call!
