Back to Normal

Things are getting back to normal.  Well sorta…  We had a minivan over the weekend, a 2008 Toyota Sienna.  We took the car in for warranty work, and while we were car-less they offered us a car, since they didn’t have a comparable vehicle with enough seats, we ended up with a minivan that, oddly enough, had only 23 miles on it.  We logged more than 200…  LOL!  We had a great time with that.  We’re really hoping to get a van when we can now.

Yesterday as I went to pick up Michael, Aiden was whining for a lemon drop since I’d left them in the cup holder.  I kept hearing “sour lemon head DROP!”  “MOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOMMM!”  “Lemonade!”  “Sour Lemonade!?”  Of course I didn’t cave, I don’t give candy to screaming kids, but it was pretty cute.

Then we picked up Michael, and headed over to pick up Kevin before dropping off the van.  I told him that as soon as we got to Dad’s work while we waited that he needed to help me clean up the car, which of course started the “Why?” game…  Finally after I thought the subject had sorta trailed off I hear from the way back “Car Cleaner + Cars = Good!  People + Cars = BAD!” Maybe you had to be there, but it was TOO funny.

Oh, and I’m SO ticked this morning, I noticed just after dropping off Michael that there’s a BIG NEW gash in the back bumper.  Shaped EXACTLY like the columns at the dealership.  I don’t know to be madder at myself for not noticing yesterday, or at the dealership for not disclosing OR doing something about it…  I thought I’d done a thorough enough once over yesterday, but I guess not!  GRRRRRRR!

Add that to some pretty nasty Siatica, and this isn’t shaping up to be a great day…

  • Great trick for Sciatica. My bro who’s a massage therapist showed me this. Grab a couple of tennis balls/racquetballs and sit on them on the floor. Roll around for a while until you find a pain spot, then hold it as long as you can stand it. It seriously helps!

200 miles!! Good for you! Kevin was asking on Sunday if the temple grounds would be opened on Sunday. Was that part of the 200?

Going back into the dealership? Good luck!

  • Thanks Matt, I’ve found that counter pressure really helps, by leaning back against my kitchen counter, or sitting/against on my hot corn bag.

Yup we made a temple trip all of us, that was an adventure on its own, LOL!

Rocky and Bullwinkle, hahaha, I watched a little, but don’t remember anything about that.

Regarding pictures, sorry I’m being so slow, we’ve got a few computer things I’ve got to get taken care of, and a paid photo shoot that are taking priority right now.

As for the dealership we’re taking the car in on Monday and they’ve said they’d replace the bumper for us, and we’d get another rental while they do that.

Amanda and David are here (David is a soldier on leave from Iraq right now) so we hope to see them Monday too, so I’m not sure how it’s all going to work out.
