OK, I deleted the chain email, but people are doing this “ice” thing, where in your contacts on your cell you put “ice” in front of the names of the people you’d want contacted in case something happened and you weren’t able to respond about who to contact. Ice Husband, ice2 Husband desk, ice3 Mom, ice 4 Mom cell, ice 5 MIL, etc…
While I was pregnant I was especially concerned about this and put “husband” in front of Kevin’s numbers, and “Mom,” and “OB/GYN,” and “Ped, Dr. ******,” etc… So hopefully if anything had ever happened that they’d be able to contact the right people, and get necessary records, as well as wished doctors for my care. Thankfully it was never used, but I was happy to know that there is a system that makes it more possible for emergency personel to figure out who to contact quickly if ever necessary.
Which reminds me, I need to say goodbye to my doctors, and then find a whole new set, and possibly another new set when our permanent incurance kicks in. Oh Yay.
So please take a few minutes, and do some editing in your cell. I know “I” is like in the middle of the alphabet, so it makes it slower to scroll to those people, but, hopefully never, you may be greatful you did it.
oh, I did that, but I think i did it wrong. i put my sammy ice 1 then home ice 2… so ice should be first??
I don’t know, I think #1 should be the number you’d want tried first, and so on?
my new phone actually has an entered “ICE” setting at the very beginning of the calling list (all you have to do is input names and #’s). So the emergency people don’t have to scroll all the way down to see it. It’s a nice feature to have.
