Halloween Costumes

In the spirit of blogging, and since I’m so picture obsessed, it’s only fair, regardless of other circumstances, to share some Halloween snapshots.  Friday was the day we made our final decisions on the job and move, so it was a BIG day in many ways! We went to the ward “Trunk-or-treat,” and had a great time.

Michael was our “Soccer ‘ball’ Player”  I got the outfit at the AF DI, on our trip last month, and hoped he’d latch onto the “basketball player” idea, he didn’t, after three weeks of 5 different ideas a week, we went to Traders Village, and ran across some soccer balls, he decided he wanted to be a “Soccer ‘ball’ Player” (the “ball” addition all his own), but when it came down to time to leave, I forgot where I’d hidden the ball when the boys decided it was time to play indoor soccer…  So his costume was rather slim, and not obvious, oh well, he still got his candy, LOL!

Aiden was “Bob the Builder,”  on the aforementioned DI trip, I found his overalls, complete with detachable vinyl belt.  I got a shirt (not like Bob’s, but a combination of the right colors), and once we got back to Texas he found a sharpy and made “fine work” of it.  I also lost the belt, and as it turns out, it was in the same place as Michael’s Soccer ball…  OH well he was happy with it…  Every time we asked him before trick-or-treating what he was he said “I AIDEN!  NOT BOB!”  Um OK!  but you’re BEING Bob.   Once we got going around with the bucket though he caught right on cause everyone was dressed up…

And of course, what Halloween costume is complete without that special baby blanket that’s excruciating to part with?

Joey was a pumpkin, NOT from the DI, LOL!  I need to throw his costume on him one more time to get the full effect in a picture.  He left the hat alone, and enjoyed chomping on his bucket for a while without noticing the accumulating candy, once he did, we had to start confiscating it, LOL!

I think this may be the only time ever that I didn’t snap twice, “just to make sure…”

I slapped on a “press pass”  and called it good, unfortunately I didn’t manage to get a picture of myself though.  And Kevin didn’t wear a costume.  We decorated the stroller and took our treat bowl around with us since we arrived so late we had to park off to the side, and didn’t know if anyone would make it over to our car.  We still wound up with about half the candy we brought, plus what the boys got!  I’m so glad I didn’t follow that impulse I’d had that morning to buy more just in case!

Ugh, and at this point I’ve received 6 election related phone calls TODAY.  Two from Bill Clinton himself.
