Spring is in the air!!!

It’s March and I’m so ready for spring. I got Michael and Aiden flip flops, and Aiden and Joey Sunglasses, (2/$5 at The Children’s Place) it’s fun to get some fun summer stuff! I’m just so ready for it to be spring!

This morning we went to Sophia’s son’s first birthday party and it was so fun to see them, they had the cutest ducky theme. He had a bath tub cake, and a lot of fun toys for the kids.

Afterwards was Kevin’s last modeling class of the set he’s been taking at Games Workshop in Rice Village, and since the rodeo is making traffic near home a nightmare, I decided to take the boys and stick around Rice Village, which is a kinda ritzy shopping center spanning roughly a square mile.

We went to lunch, about halfway through lunch Aiden started pointing to the back of the double stroller and begging for Joey’s blankets. Since Joey is allergic to nuts and Aiden was having a peanut better sandwich I was hesitant to share a blankey… But he insisted, and I knew he was tired. I handed him a small fleece blanket and he stuffed it under his head and was off to dreamland for the next hour and a half.

We then wandered around walking past many fancy stores that I’d love to browse someday, but not with the boys, hahaha, and went into Claires, Michael saw a very pretty heart bracelet for me there, and wanted to get it, I don’t really wear bracelets, so I looked for a similar necklace, their matching necklace wasn’t elastic, so one yank from Aiden or Joey and it’d be history. We looked around and found one that was perfect. Not exactly church wear, but fun for the boys anyways.

We wandered some more and went to the Children’s Place, I was looking for some clothes for Easter and Joey’s blessing, Easter is the 23rd I believe, and Joey is being blessed the next week on the 30th, so it’d be nice to have something new and dressy for them, and I want something nice for pictures… No luck there, I was told their prices are fairly reasonable there, but one dress shirt (linen too, so wrinkle land) there is about what the whole dress outfit costs at Target… I did find the shoes, sun glasses, and a few matching t-shirts there though, so that’ll be fun for some simple outings or more casual portraits.

Then we went to get daddy and headed home, and here we are…

This afternoon Amanda B. (my friend who was at Aiden’s birth and moved to Ft. Worth when her Hubbs joined the Army) should be coming over. We’re so excited to see her! She hasn’t met Joey yet, so that should be fun.
