Did you get in trouble?

Family Fun, Humor, Kevin, Me, Michael
So yesterday I picked up Kevin from work, he got in the car and I noticed he has something on his cheek and wiped it off. He said, "It's probably saw dust." Huh??? How does a "professional geek" get saw dust on himself at work? Well I asked, probably more with a quizzical look and cock of the head than anything verbal, and he said, "I was moving workstations, and I drilled a hole in my desk." So Michael pipes up from the backseat "Did you get in trouble?" As usual, it took me too long to put two and two together, then it took a few minutes to stop giggling as I explained that it was OK for Daddy to drill holes in his desk, because he had permission,…

My Birthday in Review

Family Fun, Me, Pictures
I had a pretty good day. We got up and took Kevin to work. On the way home we went to the grocery store and picked up some strawberries, cream and chocolate for ganache for the cake we were going to make, and some cheese bread and crab salad for lunch, and a few other odds and ends. We came home and enjoyed playing together, I got to watch some girly shows, and I got to get a shower, that never happens when Kevin isn't home, I had to wait till Joseph took a nap and then get the other boys doubly distracted between the computer and kiddy TV shows. Every time Aiden got whinny I pulled the "birthday card," and thankfully all major tantrums were avoided. Yay! My Mom…

Happy Birthday To Me!!!

Family Fun, Me, Memories
I'm so excited, today is my birthday. No big plans, but I'm excited for this year. I'm 26! It's also kinda a sad day, it's the one year anniversary of my Uncle Lorin's passing. So last year, being a big milestone birthday, wasn't great, but I was releived that it happened on my birthday instead of his daughters or another cousin who was a lot closer to him, they both celebrated birthdays in the last few days... I know he wouldn't want me to be sad. And I wish my Aunt and cousins the best today. He's up there with their two little ones who've gone before. So, I don't have any special plans, but I just feel good, and I'm happy to be enjoying another year.

Last Day of School & Prayer Request, Please

Church, Family Fun, Michael
Today was Michael's last day of Kindergarten. We decided after talking with Michael's teacher that it would be best to decline summer school. He actually did very well with his grades other than his social grades, which we were fully aware would be a problem. So until 1st grade starts this fall, we're all together all day (other than Daddy who thankfully goes to work to take care of us). We're really looking forwards to this. So, today was a half day, surprise! Somehow, in all of the paperwork that's been sent home, and a reminder call from the school about something else that I hung up on once I realized it was about something I knew about, and very possibly reminded parents it was an early out day, I…

What a Weekend

Baby Joey, Family Fun, Michael, To new beginnings
Nothing big going on. I haven't even had a chance to upload the pics from Friday and Saturday, let alone look them over or post some. Friday the little boys and I went to Michael's preschool graduation. It was a rough day by way of Mommies, but I think Michael had a nice time. I'm still planning on posting a new post about that soon. Saturday we went to IKEA to spend out stimulus check, or at least a portion of it. I've had my eye on dinning room benches for some time, and I didn't get the ones I'd wanted (those ones were $250 a piece! Youch!) I got some that will do the job nicely and go in the style direction we like. We'll be tossing our current…

Blank

Aiden, Family Fun, Me, Memories, Pictures
Aiden's Lovey has a name. "Blank." Short for Blanket. Before Joey was born while doing laundry I accidentally tossed Blank behind the washer in a effort to quickly throw it on top of the washer discreetly. I was huge and pregnant and so instead of fishing it out I just waited to see what might happen. There was no mention of the lost blanket, which I found odd considering at the time he seemed to be forming an extremely strong attachment to it. A couple weeks ago while watching and loving Joey's forming attachment to all of his receiving blankets which I keep with him at all times as a large makeshift burp cloth, I decided to find a old wire hanger and go fishing. Now Blank had hardly been…

Silly Words

Aiden, Baby Joey, Family Fun, Humor, Kevin, Me, Michael
OK, I guess I need to bump down the snails. Haha, sorry to anyone who thought they're gross. I guess when you have all brothers and sons... Yesterday as I was nursing Joey while laying on my bed facing the wall opposite my bathroom and bedroom door, I hear in a sing song voice behind me, "Poopy Diaper! Poopy Diaper!" I didn't hear Aiden come in so it was a big surprise. I turned around and he was sitting on the potty waiting for a little mommy help. Heard in the middle of the night~ Kevin to Joey "Sorry, I don't have Mommary glands." From Michael in the back seat on the way home from school. "All the kids are bad at school, and it is a big problem, so…

Aiden and I found something on our way in this morning, when it rains they come out, and it rained lastnight, we counted at least 7 of these cute little snails, or if you ask Aiden they're "nails," he is having a hard time putting the "S" at the beginning.

To Do’s and QOTD

Aiden, Baby Joey, Church, Family Fun, Me, Michael
Quote Of The Day (QOTD), well actually yesterday. Yesterday I was looking at flowers with my boys. Whenever we do this Michael asks what this or that is. He pointed to some small flowers that I don't know, that looked very wild. M~ "What kind are these?" I said, "those are wild flowers." Then we went on looking about at the different flowers. Out of the blue, M~ "Are wild flowers for wild people?" Me, giggling like mad cause I know at least a few people heard him, and cause it was SO cute, I gave him a huge hug, and said, "No, Wild Flowers just means that they're a kind of flower that grows by itself in nature or the wild." M~ "Ooooh!" Sometimes it's easy to forget that…
