Zoo etc.

We went to the zoo on Friday to kill some time while Kevin was at work.  It was hot, but hey, it's late June in the South, LOL! Mom! Peepee head!

OK, so I was doing the meanest thing ever, I was checking the TV to see if there was a fun movie on for the kids on the movie channels, and Aiden yelled at me, "Mom! Peepee Head!" I was like, "WHAT?!?!?!" and Michael said, "he wants PBS." I'm so glad for sibling translators. Otherwise Aiden might have had a spank or time out for asking for PBS.

Blank

Aiden's Lovey has a name. "Blank." Short for Blanket. Before Joey was born while doing laundry I accidentally tossed Blank behind the washer in a effort to quickly throw it on top of the washer discreetly. I was huge and pregnant and so instead of fishing it out I just waited to see what might happen. There was no mention of the lost blanket, which I found odd considering at the time he seemed to be forming an extremely strong attachment to it. A couple weeks ago while watching and loving Joey's forming attachment to all of his receiving blankets which I keep with him at all times as a large makeshift burp cloth, I decided to find a old wire hanger and go fishing. OK, I guess I need to bump down the snails. Haha, sorry to anyone who thought they're gross. I guess when you have all brothers and sons... Yesterday as I was nursing Joey while laying on my bed facing the wall opposite my bathroom and bedroom door, I hear in a sing song voice behind me, "Poopy Diaper! Poopy Diaper!" Quote Of The Day (QOTD), well actually yesterday. Yesterday I was looking at flowers with my boys. Whenever we do this Michael asks what this or that is. He pointed to some small flowers that I don't know, that looked very wild. M~ "What kind are these?" I said, "those are wild flowers." Then we went on looking about at the different flowers. Out of the blue, M~ "Are wild flowers for wild people?" The BIG birthday!

My little boy is now 6, and my hubby is now 29!!! Yesterday was a VERY busy day. In the morning I couldn't sleep anymore once 6:30 rolled around, I was so excited for my boys. They didn't share my enthusiasm so much, at least not that early. We dropped off the big boys, and the little boys and I went birthday shopping. We got Michael one of those giant balls that he's had his eye on for some time, a track, like a pine wood derby track but for matchbox/hotwheels, and some clothes. We got home to chill for a little while and then went to pick up the cake and take it to Michael's class. That was a blast! It was so fun to be in his class…

Michael’s “Texas Cowboy” Birthday Party

We had Michael's birthday party today. We only invited the kids from his primary class and their families which turned out to be just right. He insisted on a cowboy theme, so that's what we went with. We ended up having six Mama's, just our Dad, and about sixteen kids including our three. Here's a picture of Aiden before the party, longingly looking at the cake, the funny thing is I have one very similar of Michael doing the same with Aiden's 2nd Birthday cake.
