You’re Welcome!

Aiden, Family Fun, Humor, Me, Michael
We obviously have some wires crossed... A few minutes ago Aiden asked ever so nicely for some candy.  The boys have been behaving rather well today, so I went for my secret stash and got some Smarties. I gave each boy a roll of Smarties, and got one out for myself while I played around on the computer. About halfway through mine I started hearing this weird beeping, so I got up to troubleshoot, a minute later I noticed that one of the boys had put something on Kevin's keyboard and it was making that "error" noise, that was it. I then look to my left to watch Aiden somehow scatter my smarties about.  Snickering inside, trying to look sad, I said, "But those were my smarties!  I wanted those!" …

Zoo etc.

Aiden, Baby Joey, Family Fun, Humor, Me, Michael, Pictures
We went to the zoo on Friday to kill some time while Kevin was at work.  It was hot, but hey, it's late June in the South, LOL! It was a VERY stressful morning, including but not limited to- just plain getting up on the wrong side of the bed, having gotten a special treat to pack for lunch to the Zoo and Aiden having a melt down over wanting it right then, the remote going MIA, some very hyper active big boys (I was so desperate to find the remote to glue them to the TV for a few minutes and get them settled down, hey if it works...) a mini flood, a VERY sad baby (no doubt fully due to his mothers anxiety level), a giant blow out,…

My funny husband.

Kevin and I
He voted that he knows me from church. Which is technically true.  We met at church.  See the "About Us" section for further details.  I would have personally put him in the "family member" section, but...

The Chocolate Bar

Church, Me, Memories
Lastnight for Girls Night Out I wet to a fun little place called The Chocolate Bar.  On one side it was a gourmet chocolate shop, and on the other it serves ice cream and various slices of cake or pie and has a sit down area.  It was so fun to have a girls night with a bunch of friends and get to know several women I didn't know well before.  I'll definitely be going back.  Yum!  I just need to figure out who to go with since Kevin's not a chocolate fan, and I'm not going to even consider what would happen if I took any of my boys.  Yikes!

Make-up comparisons.

Me
OK, here I am with my fresh face, traditionally, and with Minerals. Fresh Clean Face Traditional Make-up Stick concealer, mark C-Thru-U Beautifying Sheer Tint, Sally's little clip together eye shadow, gunmetal or champagne for the highlight, and mauve for the creases and accent, some Avon eye liner, and a little brow gel, some random loose powder.  For my lips it was probably my Origins Once Upon a Shine Sheer lip gloss, on top of some Mark Kissink (Sadly they don't sell it anymore :( it's an ink in a marker, it's awesome).  In this one my mascara looks awesome, but I was using Mabellines (I think) XXL mascara.  That stuff makes my eyes burn, ouch! So back to my old favorite, Sally's mini mascaras... Minerals I moisturized my face and…

Everyday Minerals

Venting
OK, why I got my birthday present so late... I've had my eye on mineral make-up for about a year now.  I shopped around and the most professional but less expensive apparently became Everyday Minerals.  I asked around on my old forum, and read from several women who'd ordered from them and been thrilled with the products.  To top it off they have a free sample kit, where you pick 3 foundations, a blush or face color (some call this a bronzer), and a concealer for shipping cost alone.  Can't loose, right? I ordered a package from Everyday Minerals at the end of May for my birthday (June 5th).  According to the shipping rate, I should have received it before or on my Birthday.  I was a little concerned when…

Mom! Peepee head!

Aiden, Humor, Me, Michael
OK, so I was doing the meanest thing ever, I was checking the TV to see if there was a fun movie on for the kids on the movie channels, and Aiden yelled at me, "Mom! Peepee Head!" I was like, "WHAT?!?!?!" and Michael said, "he wants PBS." I'm so glad for sibling translators. Otherwise Aiden might have had a spank or time out for asking for PBS.

iPod, and me singing.

Dreams, Family Fun, Me, Memories
I got an iPod. For a reason I may cover later, I got my birthday present very late this year. I picked up a Green 1 Gig iPod Shuffle. I've been enjoying Gilbert and Sullivan's Pirates of Penzance (I played Ruth in High School) The Holiday soundtrack, listening th church magazines (did you know you can get MP3's on lds.org of all sorts of stuff, magazines through scriptures? I have a link at the right) and all sorts of other fun stuff. Michael said earlier "Mom, you got a really good voice." which totally surprised me. I feel like I've totally lost my voice, my pitch is terrible, the quality leaves a LOT to be desired in many ways. Many who've met me in the last 7 years or so…
