My Cookie Cuddles

While I was pregnant, when Aiden would get a little grouchy I'd lay down on the couch, and turn the TV on to something he'd find boring (usually something on TLC), I'd invite him to sit with me and before we knew it he'd often grab his favorite blankets and cuddle up behind me on the couch. Since Joey was born this hasn't worked. It's made me kinda sad. Well, today it did! Joey was asleep in his swing and I had a roaring migraine, it's been a rough couple of weeks. Cookie brought me a blanket and "tucked me in" well a three year olds version of tucking in, tossing a balled up blanket on someone and yanking it around until it covered some of the desirable parts, LOL!…

LOL at me!

The last couple of days I've been leaving my purse next to my computer on the floor... My cell just rang, I spent the whole time it was ringing spinning and twisting around trying to find my purse under me to no avail... It was eerie, when I leaned to one side it'd get louder, than if I leaned the other way, regardless of if I was facing towards or away from my computer. Then I suddenly remembered, dooh! I'd put my cell, keys, and wallet in my pockets when I got dressed this morning! Most of my pants don't have pockets. Hahaha!

On the Mend, hopefully…

It's just after Noon, and I'm just finally getting out of bed today. THANK-YOU Kevin, he was able to stay home today... We've been lysoling everything, and I've been doing my best to take care of me while he's been doing his final brushing up for his exam tonight. Lastnight I was able to get that long shower and it helped, By 1 AM I felt like I'd be able to survive again this morning, this morning it was a different story. Aiden just came to me patting his belly, saying "Honkey, tummy, food!" I said, "you're HunGRy?" Aiden~ "Yeah!" Me~ "OK, I can't fix you anything, go ask Dad." Still patting his belly, "I'm Honkey!" I’m so sick!

It's BAD.  Poor Joey's been in the rocker all day other than nursing or changing, I don't want to breath on him, luckily he's been mostly OK with that arrangement.  I called Kevin this morning begging him to come home, but I guess everyone else decided to take a leisure day today...  So he couldn't, I've just been hoping nothing bad would happen. All I want to do is climb in the shower and wash it all away. Disappearing Skittles and We’re Sick, Again…

Hahaha!  I got up this morning and all the skittles closest to the fridge door had been plucked off...  Uh, thanks Aiden...  So much for some good light pictures this morning as opposed to last nights artificial overhead fluorescents. We're all sick this morning.  I've been coming down with a cold for days, sinus issues, soar throat, cough...  Yesterday I lost my voice.  Yuck.  We went to the Zoo.  Don't go to the Zoo if you can't holler after your kids or even voice level talk... Baking a Cake

We're making practice cakes for Michael's birthday. He wants a Cowboy Cake, I thought no big deal, find a cowboy toy, and stick it on top. The Cowboy Drama~ It's amazing to me how hard it is to find a cowboy toy for a reasonable price, in Texas. We went to three stores looking for one. First we went to Big Lots. They have a bunch of fun little pirates and knights, so why not some cowboys? The only Cowboy they had was 4 inches tall and in a big old old west set. Something like $20. Strike One. Then Target. Looked over the whole toy section 3 or 4 times. I was really hoping for a good Indian in the Cupboard style Cowboy, to no avail. They had a…

The Final Trimester

Aiden, Baby Joey, Michael, The end is near
Jo Jo just turned three months! They've gone by fast, and I don't think they've been "that bad." In fact, in many ways I feel that Motherhood has been easier since he arrived than ever before. I don't know if it's the sweet spirit that he's brought into our home, if I'm more stable or mature, if it's such a relief to not be pregnant that things seem extremely easy, or if it's just that I've resigned to the chaos. It's probably a happy combination of the four. Happiest Baby On The Block suggests that we look at a babies first three months as the 4th trimester. These are the hardest months for a new person as they're still not ready for life outside of the womb in many ways,…
