Babies “Race”

As of yet, no babies have been born (as of yesterday by most of the updates). In my poll I forgot one cousin who's due this month. There are TWO Laura's due this month, one is my MIL's Sister's daughter, the other is my Mom's sisters daughter. Actually Jenni and Laura are Sandy's Daughter and Daughter in law, Sandy is my mother in law Peggy's sister, and Kristin and Laura are Marlene's daughters, and Marlene is my Mom's sister... Following? Laura on my side is the only one who's already had a child if that makes any difference. There are a lot of women becoming mothers this month. When is the next full moon? Did you get in trouble?

So yesterday I picked up Kevin from work, he got in the car and I noticed he has something on his cheek and wiped it off. He said, "It's probably saw dust." Huh??? How does a "professional geek" get saw dust on himself at work? Well I asked, probably more with a quizzical look and cock of the head than anything verbal, and he said, "I was moving workstations, and I drilled a hole in my desk." My Birthday in Review

I had a pretty good day. We got up and took Kevin to work. On the way home we went to the grocery store and picked up some strawberries, cream and chocolate for ganache for the cake we were going to make, and some cheese bread and crab salad for lunch, and a few other odds and ends. We came home and enjoyed playing together, I got to watch some girly shows, and I got to get a shower, that never happens when Kevin isn't home, I had to wait till Joseph took a nap and then get the other boys doubly distracted between the computer and kiddy TV shows. Happy Birthday To Me!!!

I'm so excited, today is my birthday. No big plans, but I'm excited for this year. I'm 26! It's also kinda a sad day, it's the one year anniversary of my Uncle Lorin's passing. So last year, being a big milestone birthday, wasn't great, but I was releived that it happened on my birthday instead of his daughters or another cousin who was a lot closer to him, they both celebrated birthdays in the last few days... I know he wouldn't want me to be sad. And I wish my Aunt and cousins the best today. He's up there with their two little ones who've gone before. So, I don't have any special plans, but I just feel good, and I'm happy to be enjoying another year.

Baby Hungry

ME. I'm baby hungry. Every time I see a baby, no matter what he or she looks like, their temperament, or if I know them or not, I just wanna cuddle them and give em love. I refrain from snatching babies out of people arms, or touching babies I don't know, but I just stare at beautiful innocent baby eyes, adorable fingers and toes and marvel at the sheer beauty that tiny people hold in spades. I hurt so much for all the "mama's without a baby" out there. I'm so glad we have Joey or this would mean some serious heart ache here.
