We went on vacation!

Aiden, Baby Joey, Dreams, Family Fun, Kevin and I, Michael, Pictures
We went down to the beach and enjoyed a night on the ocean in Surfside Texas. Joey's first vacation! We stayed in a little place called "Cedar Sands Motel" not the nicest place, but not bad for the area and right on the beach. The bathroom was HUGE! We had a kitchenette and a large table with 4 chairs. They even had the Disney Channel. We woke up early (twice, LOL, Michael and Aiden couldn't go back to sleep when Joey woke us up for his 3 AM feeding), and went out and experienced the sunrise. It was breath taking! And not just cause we (mostly Kevin) had to keep running after Aiden. There were these clouds on the horizon that almost looked like a whole island out there between…

I’m Sad, and What To Do?

To new beginnings
It seems a lot of my blogging buddies have stopped blogging, or are taking a really long break. :(  So here's your challenge, if it's been a little while, go and update us on what you've been up to since the last blog! I keep asking Michael what he wants to do on spring break.  He responses are "Play Wii" "Watch TV" and "Play Computer."  When I say, what else, he rotates through these answers...  I need to get this boy going!!!  So my goals are to do something fun every day while he's home and to minimalise laziness!  That goes for me too! So we're thinking of going to the beach, going to the park, making cookies or other fun foods, and I'm not sure what else, but we've…

Knock Knock

Aiden
This was a joke Aiden told me today after he'd stripped off all of his clothes down to his diaper (he likes to do that), and he was cuddling under my blankets as I changed Joey on my bed before we went to get Michael today. Needless to say I thought it was hilarious, I understand if no one else finds the humor in it. It is his first full joke though... :D Aiden: Knock Knock Me: Who's there? Aiden: Shirt on. Me: Shirt on who? Aiden: I'm cold!

Field Day and last day before spring break.

Aiden, Baby Joey, Michael, Pictures
So Aiden sat on Joey today... This morning as we were rushing to get out the door, Aiden was goofing around. Joey was already strapped into his car seat with two cushy blankets on him. Aiden decided to "moon walk" away from me as I way trying to get his pants and shoes on, and well, plop, he landed right in Joey's lap! Kevin and I both jumped, but Joey just sat there watching us like nothing had even happened. Aiden finally cooperated at that point... Today is Michael's field day. They did a bunch of relay races, and it was a lot of fun. It was kinda chilly (for us Texans) and Joey got hungry so we came home early, but we had a lot of fun watching Michael…

Just trying to catch up…

Aiden, Baby Wearing, Church
Today I was a trying desperately to catch up with several things I've been letting sag lately. For some reason I feel more behind than ever. So is life sometimes, I guess. Tonight for our annual Relief Society Birthday party we had our wards usual service auction. I LOVE this activity. Everyone donates a service or two, and then you bid on it with your points that you count up with things that you've done lately, i.e. visiting teaching, smiling at strangers, doing something kind and unexpected, writing kind notes, you get the picture... I donated a couple things that I had on hand and my talents with photography and photo editing, and I won a cake (don't know what kind yet), a lunch or dinner with a sister, and…

Note to Self~

Aiden, Baby Joey
Don't put the baby on a blanket on the floor and then run around trying to get stuff done. Your preschooler will jump over him (Ahhhhh!!!) and then when you freak out about almost seeing your little boy jump on your baby, your baby will start to fuss, subsequently your preschooler will try to calm baby... By... trying to pick him up. Then, as you're trying to keep yourself calm so you can comfort your baby as you rush across the room to get him, baby will grin at you when you bring him into your arms, as if nothing ever happened. On a happier note, yesterday at the grocery store (yeah I took my two youngest to the grocery store, it's official, I am crazy), I was rocking and…

Still Recovering and Photography.

Pictures, Venting
My body is still pretty messed up from my fall on Saturday. :( I've just been forced to take it slow a little more than I'd have liked, I was finally picking up speed again and getting back to myself. I'm just hoping I'm back to normal again in a few days. I'm really just so glad I wasn't carrying Joey, that would have been bad. The positive is after a few months on the down kick with photography, I can't get enough of it again. I'm just always thinking how I can capture images again, it feels really nice. Here's a few captures from the last few days.

We Went to IKEA Today

Aiden, Baby Joey, Baby Wearing, Family Fun, Kevin and I, Michael, Pictures
Warning: VERY long post. If you wish, just scroll through the pics. :D Yeah, it's a favorite spot. We walked up just as they pulled breakfast off the bar, so we got lunch. Then I dropped Mike off at Smaland. No sooner had I dropped him off and walked upstairs and just started getting going did they page me back... Ugh! Kevin and I gave each other one of those glances, all parents know those glances, and I headed back to get him irritated that in less than 10 minutes he'd managed to get me paged back. As I was heading down the stairs another Mom said, "It's a false alarm, they're all going off, you'll just get a new one." Whohoo! Mike was hopefully NOT in trouble. Sure enough…

Potty, new wrap, and I need to drive…

Aiden, Baby Joey, Baby Wearing, Michael
I'm so excited it's Friday! I need a Friday... It's bone chilling and windy here right now, it's almost too much. It's supposed to warm up a little over the weekend, I hope so... Aiden went potty at the store yesterday! That's a first. We had to go, and I asked him in passing if he'd like to go too, when he said "yes," I was surprised but hurried and helped him. He made it! We're so proud of him. He finally got his first undies, yay! Mommy's just not brave enough to let him wear them yet. He's better, still grouchy, but I think that's more from cabin fever than feeling under the weather. In the last few days, as I was trying to get several things done, and…
