We’re FINALLY a two car family!

Me
So this past weekend I got a minivan!  Yippee!  I have freedom!  It's a 07' navy, 7 seater with bench seats (I don't think I'll tell the make and model here right now), it's still under warranty, so that's good. :)  It drives a lot like the Toyota Sienna we rented last fall, so I was thrilled when I got behind the wheel. We got a great deal on it, and it should be a great family vehicle for a good long time. No more begging other to go get Michael, and no more "I can't go anywhere cause I can't get there without mooching."  Also once we get our own place again (hopefully soon!) I will be much more mobile, and not reliant on Kevin, and not having to…

Look Who’s Walking!

Me
OK, so Joey's been walking a while, but there was really no definitive, 'he's not walking one day, he was the next,' time frame.  He started taking small steps around October, but was VERY unsure of himself and lost his balance easily, which always sent him flopping to the floor.  He still doens't walk very far, but is finally choosing it over crawling, cause he can hold onto something that he'd have to leave behind when crawling, LOL!  He's now just starting to run to his destination when he looses balance rather than dropping down and crawling.  It's SO cute!  I LOVE this boy!  Baby walking is one of the cutest things ever!  He'd prefer not to be guided, but to just find his way on his own, or be…

A quiz about Kevin

Me
I stumbled across this game on a friends blog and thought it looked fun. I copied all their questions and answered them the way I think KEVIN will answer. Then hopefully later today, Kevin will put in his answers and we'll see how close they were. Here we go... -How do you feel about Country Music? Kaylene being Kevin: It's OK, but I like all music, and listen to whatever I like at any given moment, I usually get my country fill when Kaylene picks the music. Kevin: This is right on the money. -How many curlers does your wife wear in her hair at night? Kaylene: She's a pony tail girl, I can only rarely get her to let her hair down. Kevin: She's never worn curlers to bed…

Spring is coming!

Me
I'm SO excited! A few quick pics, to catch up~ My favorite Librarian Books, Thanks Ryan for being my library friend! Play Date~ This is what happens when you don't put on their shoes for them... Aiden got SO excited when I said we were going to the park that he ran straight out the door without his shoes... Finally he got his shoes on, but no socks... Oh well, at least the mud wasn't IN the shoes. Jared training his nephews in the art of climbing trees, good thing there weren't any close that had branches close enough to the ground for them to climb, whew! My buddy! If you look at his ring and pinky fingers on his right hand you can see where they got smashed in…

Prayers for Angelina

Me
My good friend Lisa finally adopted a baby girl after a long trying year (I beleive I talked about her in a post about adoption last summer), and now her sweet new daughter at 12 days old is back in the hospital with RSV. Please pray that she will heal quickly and be home and developing normally in no time. http://bigtexhillfamily.blogspot.com/2009/02/more-hospital-pics-update.html Update, Angelina is doing better! She still has a long road ahead of her, but things are looking up.

Draper Temple Open House

Me
Taken on my last trip to Temple Square 8 of us went tonight to the Draper open house and toured the Temple, what a great experience, and how fun to share that with Michael. The tickets say 8 and up, but we saw many babies a lot younger than Michael there. He did rather well, and loved to share the time with his Grandma Karen, and it was wonderful to involve him in a "grown-up" activity, as well as a relief to not have to worry about the younger kids. I took my camera even though there's a request for no photography in the Temple, I decided to take it for outside, if the chance presented itself, but it didn't and sweet Kevin carried my heavy gear bag like a…
