Something is new about me.

I got a hair cut today. Real quick cause Joey's about to get fussy, sorry there are not fabulous pics, I just used the web cam instead of hauling out my camera, begging Kevin to take pics of me, checking the settings to make sure that they won't come out wrong, telling him how to do it "right," pulling the card, uploading the card, thumbing through and fixing up the pics, exporting the pics and changing the format from RAW to jpeg, resizing the pics, saving the resized versions, uploading the pics to the internet and copying and pasting the links, I just used the web cam... Hahaha. Serious pictures are a lot of work. So, deal with my less than wonderful pics...

My Michael!

OK, this is a lot of blogs in a row, but I didn't write any yesterday, so it evens out right? Hahaha! I hope! There's this clip from a cartoon called "Family Guy" floating around the internet that reminds me so much of Michael.... I think most Mom's can relate. You can check it out on the video page under "Michael Talking." His Valentines card last year. Last week I received an email from Michael's teacher telling me that he was doing better and she was seeing some improvement in his behavior! Yay! I'm not going to hold my breath, I do want him to improve, but I just don't know what I can expect especially since I don't know what factors could have influenced his improvement, and just hope…

Kevin’s Models

Here are some pics of Kevin's hobby. He's hand painted all of these and has been quite enjoying getting into it. From Kevin: These are Models from the Games Workshop tabletop game Warhammer:40,000 I am collecting and painting Space Marines and I've built and painted 21 so far and have a bunch more to finish. I started this in December and have been enjoying myself a lot. It takes a lot of concentration, but it is, in many ways so rewarding and relaxing to paint and finish these models. Currently, I'm just painting the models rather than playing the game. Once I have enough, then maybe I'll play, but honestly, I'm doing it more for the painting. Relaxed Sunday

We made it to church yesterday! Yay! Though we were a lot late... That was frustrating. We didn't get the laundry into the dryer until around 7:30 (church starts at 9, we'd washed it the night before but forgot to get it in the dryer, and some of our essentials were in there), and then since it was mostly towels it took extra long to dry and we didn't realize this until we went to get everyone dressed at 8:40... We wait till the last possible moment to get the boys dressed so the chance that they dirty their clothes is as slim as possible. It's a 15 minute drive to church, maybe 20... Oh well. Joey’s Baby Shower

Tara B. and Sophia C., two sisters in my ward, threw me a baby shower today with our church girls. The invite. The guests of honor. It was so much fun to spend time with everyone. We had chicken salad sandwiches and and a chocolate fountain brought by Susannah O. with angel food cake. Mmmm! The cupcake pull apart, the kids loved it, hahaha! The spread. The fountain, yummy! We received lots diapers and wipes and some lotion and soap, and even a hat and outfit. There was even a beautiful diaper cake! Thanks Susannah!   Thanks everyone, the gifts will be well appreciated and loved!

Paint, Daddy baby wears, and more rose pics.

Lastnight while I arranged my flowers, Kevin painted some figures and the boys played at the table doing homework and coloring. Joey got fussy so Kevin went to get him. Kevin had him balanced on his lap in a uncomfortable looking way, so I went and got the Snugli for them to use. It was the first time in this carrier for Joey and I think he really liked it. Well other than this photo, hahaha. Maybe he was worried Daddy was going to paint him. And here's the photo's of my flowers arranged. Deer in the headlights and a jaw drop!

That's what I looked like when Kevin came in from errands today. I told him not to get me flowers for Valentines Day, I think they're overpriced and less than stellar quality on that day. He still felt bad even though he'd gotten me another gift, and apologized when I picked him up that he hadn't gotten me flowers and a card, but I was 100% fine with that. I'd rather have some sporadic and not even expected surprise gift of flowers, than on a day when it's kinda typical from a lot of spouses. Family Saturday

I added a pic back on last Sundays blog of the boys as we headed out the door to church. Click here for the link to that Blog. Today we went to IKEA as a family. We just went for breakfast and to get out as a family. We got breakfast and for some reason it was buy one get one free (I believe Valentines and President's Day weekend), so we got breakfast and drinks for all 4 of us (who eat solids), plus a roll and muffin to share for about $9! The blessing is scheduled!

And we took the little man to church for the first time today. Michael asked yesterday if it was "church day," we said no but tomorrow is. He replied, "Can we go?" I said, "It looks like everyone's healthy! Yeah, we'll go." You'd have thought we'd have told him we were going to Disneyland! LOL! Both boys got new teachers again, they'd shuffled after the new year to even things out a bit, so we're all just trying to get settled again. Tentatively we've scheduled the blessing for Sunday the 30th of March. Hopefully all of the grandparents will get off work and other things get scheduled so that they can come down.
