Grins and Hungry?

Joey is getting more and more expressive he gave both Kevin and I huge grins yesterday at the grocery store, and is getting more and more likely to randomly grin at us. We reached another one of my Spring Break goals, the boys and I made cookies this morning, yummy! They were "Mickey Mouse Club House Cookies" as my Mickey calls them. They were Disney Brand Disney Magic Selection Break n' Bake Chocolate chip Cookies with red while and brown Mickey mouse confetti. Pretty yummy. I'm glad we took the time to do that as it meant a lot to the boys. It makes me almost want to make real cookies, you know with butter, and sugar and flour and eggs... Almost. We went on vacation!

We went down to the beach and enjoyed a night on the ocean in Surfside Texas. Joey's first vacation! We stayed in a little place called "Cedar Sands Motel" not the nicest place, but not bad for the area and right on the beach. The bathroom was HUGE! We had a kitchenette and a large table with 4 chairs. They even had the Disney Channel. We woke up early (twice, LOL, Michael and Aiden couldn't go back to sleep when Joey woke us up for his 3 AM feeding), and went out and experienced the sunrise. It was breath taking! Field Day and last day before spring break.

So Aiden sat on Joey today... This morning as we were rushing to get out the door, Aiden was goofing around. Joey was already strapped into his car seat with two cushy blankets on him. Aiden decided to "moon walk" away from me as I way trying to get his pants and shoes on, and well, plop, he landed right in Joey's lap! Kevin and I both jumped, but Joey just sat there watching us like nothing had even happened. Aiden finally cooperated at that point... Today is Michael's field day. They did a bunch of relay races, and it was a lot of fun. It was kinda chilly (for us Texans) and Joey got hungry so we came home early, but we had a lot of fun watching Michael…

Note to Self~

Don't put the baby on a blanket on the floor and then run around trying to get stuff done. Your preschooler will jump over him (Ahhhhh!!!) and then when you freak out about almost seeing your little boy jump on your baby, your baby will start to fuss, subsequently your preschooler will try to calm baby... By... trying to pick him up. Then, as you're trying to keep yourself calm so you can comfort your baby as you rush across the room to get him, baby will grin at you when you bring him into your arms, as if nothing ever happened. We Went to IKEA Today

Then I dropped Mike off at Smaland. No sooner had I dropped him off and walked upstairs and just started getting going did they page me back... Ugh! Kevin and I gave each other one of those glances, all parents know those glances, and I headed back to get him irritated that in less than 10 minutes he'd managed to get me paged back. Potty, new wrap, and I need to drive…

I'm so excited it's Friday! I need a Friday... It's bone chilling and windy here right now, it's almost too much. It's supposed to warm up a little over the weekend, I hope so... Aiden went potty at the store yesterday! That's a first. We had to go, and I asked him in passing if he'd like to go too, when he said "yes," I was surprised but hurried and helped him. He made it! We're so proud of him. He finally got his first undies, yay! Mommy's just not brave enough to let him wear them yet. Blessing Prep

I'm SO excited! I just got word that I'll have more family come to the blessing. That makes 7 so far. Yay! I will miss those who can't make it though. So we'll have guests from the 27th through April fools! Yay! I'm so excited I just cant even think of enough fun things to do together! 4 are getting hotel rooms, and so just three people will be staying here, but there will be 4 cars between us all, 3 of them rentals though, wow, that's a lot of cars! Ahhhh! I'm so happy!

Relaxed Sunday

We made it to church yesterday! Yay! Though we were a lot late... That was frustrating. We didn't get the laundry into the dryer until around 7:30 (church starts at 9, we'd washed it the night before but forgot to get it in the dryer, and some of our essentials were in there), and then since it was mostly towels it took extra long to dry and we didn't realize this until we went to get everyone dressed at 8:40... We wait till the last possible moment to get the boys dressed so the chance that they dirty their clothes is as slim as possible. It's a 15 minute drive to church, maybe 20... Oh well. Spring is in the air!!!

It's March and I'm so ready for spring. I got Michael and Aiden flip flops, and Aiden and Joey Sunglasses, (2/$5 at The Children's Place) it's fun to get some fun summer stuff! I'm just so ready for it to be spring! This morning we went to Sophia's son's first birthday party and it was so fun to see them, they had the cutest ducky theme. He had a bath tub cake, and a lot of fun toys for the kids. Afterwards was Kevin's last modeling class of the set he's been taking at Games Workshop in Rice Village, and since the rodeo is making traffic near home a nightmare, I decided to take the boys and stick around Rice Village, which is a kinda ritzy shopping center spanning roughly…
