Just trying to catch up…

Today I was a trying desperately to catch up with several things I've been letting sag lately. For some reason I feel more behind than ever. So is life sometimes, I guess. Tonight for our annual Relief Society Birthday party we had our wards usual service auction. I LOVE this activity. Everyone donates a service or two, and then you bid on it with your points that you count up with things that you've done lately, i.e. visiting teaching, smiling at strangers, doing something kind and unexpected, writing kind notes, you get the picture... I donated a couple things that I had on hand and my talents with photography and photo editing, and I won a cake (don't know what kind yet), a lunch or dinner with a sister, and…

Note to Self~

Don't put the baby on a blanket on the floor and then run around trying to get stuff done. Your preschooler will jump over him (Ahhhhh!!!) and then when you freak out about almost seeing your little boy jump on your baby, your baby will start to fuss, subsequently your preschooler will try to calm baby... By... trying to pick him up. Then, as you're trying to keep yourself calm so you can comfort your baby as you rush across the room to get him, baby will grin at you when you bring him into your arms, as if nothing ever happened. We Went to IKEA Today

Potty, new wrap, and I need to drive…

I'm so excited it's Friday! I need a Friday... It's bone chilling and windy here right now, it's almost too much. It's supposed to warm up a little over the weekend, I hope so... Aiden went potty at the store yesterday! That's a first. We had to go, and I asked him in passing if he'd like to go too, when he said "yes," I was surprised but hurried and helped him. He made it! We're so proud of him. He finally got his first undies, yay! Mommy's just not brave enough to let him wear them yet. Aiden is sick.

:( He started slowing down yesterday, about a half hour before I went to get Michael, he passed out with his blankets in his room. I told him as I noticed him trying to huddle in that he'd better not go to sleep because it was almost time to go get Michael. He went to sleep anyways, which usually means mega tantrums when I get him up to go. :( I got Joey ready, then got Aiden changed, his shoes and jacket on, and tucked him back in. I took Joey out to the car, then came back to carry Aiden to the car. He barely woke up and we just brought the blanket with us (BTW, the special blanket, "Blank," got lost a few weeks ago when I accidentally…

Spring is in the air!!!

It's March and I'm so ready for spring. I got Michael and Aiden flip flops, and Aiden and Joey Sunglasses, (2/$5 at The Children's Place) it's fun to get some fun summer stuff! I'm just so ready for it to be spring! This morning we went to Sophia's son's first birthday party and it was so fun to see them, they had the cutest ducky theme. He had a bath tub cake, and a lot of fun toys for the kids. Afterwards was Kevin's last modeling class of the set he's been taking at Games Workshop in Rice Village, and since the rodeo is making traffic near home a nightmare, I decided to take the boys and stick around Rice Village, which is a kinda ritzy shopping center spanning roughly…

Happy Leap Year! and Kiddo Tag!

This is my 6th leap year, it's so fun! I feel the need to do something special. and it's a Friday too!!! Whoo hoo! This morning I got up and for once I wasn't dragging, don't know why, maybe we slept better lastnight, or I just had a surprisingly happy morning. Usually mornings consist of me wishing it wouldn't come yet, and then dreading the morning routine (taking Michael and Kevin to school and work, and then getting the boys back in if I don't run errands on the way home). Warning: KFC’s Double Chocolate Chip Cake

This thing is yummy! (link) Today we went to KFC for a late lunch. We'd missed lunch before we got Michael and we needed to go get Kevin about 45 minutes after getting Michael so we had about a half hour to kill. In the drive through Michael noticed the cake on the board, and asked for one, I wanted some too so I decided to get two thinking that Kevin and I could share one and Aiden and Mike could share the other. Diaper Changes

Well Joey is doing OK. The coloring of his poop is finally evening out, and just every few is slightly green anymore. I started eating Chocolate again and I'm now pretty positive that's not a part of the problem, but I have cut out all nuts and that is definitely helping. Just a few more days and it'll be completely out of our systems and we'll see if there's something else we need to cut out. He moved up a diaper size in the last couple days, he's now in size 1-2 in Huggies. He's gone through two cases of size one, plus the two small hospital packs and a left over medium bag that I got when Aiden was a baby that he never started. The 1-2 size is…
